My mother has 2 dogs. They're small so when they bark their lungs out at other dogs passing by on walks, she doesn't stop them she just finds it sweet even tho the other dog owner's dog is reacting and barking too.
She made me walk her dogs recently and It was terrible. They kept pulling the leash, trying to eat grass and barking at everything including other dogs who then started barking and tugging their own leash.
One of her dogs has bit me multiple times. proper bites too, blood and scarring for weeks. All because I dared to walk around my own living room. I'm 99% sure he is resource guarding the female dog and i've told her how dangerous this can be. She doesn't care.
Meither of these dogs are netured btw. The female dog is mostly chill unless outside, but male dogs can (and in this case, do) get aggressive, territorial, bite, hump etc. The funny thing is, she keeps saying "it's too expensive!" but she choose this? She should've been considered these expenses when making this choice. Her closet is full of branded shoes and she left me and brother for 4 days to go on a holiday which she had to miss work for! What does she mean no money to neutere her agressive dog???
The amount of times an off leash dog has approached me in public while the owners laugh is astonishing! What if I had a dog allergy? What if I had a dog phobia? Multiple times has a big ass dog pushed me over. No consideration at all.
The final straw that made me write this post was a casual walk on the beach at 7am. It was just me and an older man with a pretty big dog. Bare in mind I'm 42kgs so this dog was not only my height standing but heavier than me. This dog runs up to me, leash attached but the owner wasn't even holding it! This dog almost knocks me over and the starts humping me. The owner didn't run to get his dog off, he laughed casually as he took a brisk stroll towards me and called his dogs name. The dog didn't respond, it obviously wasn't trained to do so. The man did apologise but the dog was a few years old, he should've known by now that it wouldn't misbehave off leash.
