Problems running Restaurant, getting an offer? Should I take it?
My brother(Big Taya'g Son)(36M) started a restaurant specialised in ice cream dessert- live ice cream, waffle, scoop, etc along with fast food such as sandwich, pasta, fries, wraps and Maggi, shakes too. We opened in mid-May, did sale of 3.5 lakhs in 19 days, June 4 lakhs, July 2.5 lakhs (break even), August 1.8 lakhs, and this September only 1.15 lakhs.
It was opened in tier-3 city, urban population of 80k, 67km from our home and it take around 50 mins to raach .The restaurant was a franchise of my Small Taya's son's friend's. He only gave it very close friends/family. He two stores in our city and another store in city similar to where we opened. He is in good business from last 8 years, bought a 2 crore home this Feb. The store in the other city is also performing well, doing around 4 lakhs of sale, which is what he told us.
My brother took permission from his father and our grandfather and they all agreed at that time. Early July my grandfather started fighting that boys come home at 12 in night, it is too far from home, I can't sleep at night, etc. and asked us to shut down the restaurant and join a job instead. My grandfather, my brother's father live in village and me, my brother, his wife, mother, son and daughter live in city. My grandfather started fighting everyday with my Taya ji and then they both came to fight here in city with brother's wife and mother. They both fight with us.
We both went to work a negative mind. On 13th July our Generator's radiator malfunctioned and the engine seized. It took 25k to fix. Next month, the alternator on generator stopped working, another 20k, and in the same month, two bulls were fighting in front or shop and crashed into our car, shattering both windows on driver side, plus various other damages, around 25k to fix. The sale dropped massively in month July, barely broke even. And had to put money from our pockets in month of August and September. We rarely got customer complaints, 1 in 1000 orders. All were satisfied with our service and liked our food. We did have lack of marketing and advertisements, put each month we promoted from local influencers. Everything was fine, until the daily fighting at home started.
City is weird too, vast majority of the population is Hindu(no offence here), rest would be Sikh and other minorities. There is a Tea plus Snack shop, 2 shops to our right, and man they are full 24/7
Now, my brother is back on his job, and we are looking to sale. He spent around 22 lakhs from his pocket, didn't ask a dime from home, which was almost his whole life saving. All the money we earned from shop has been invested back.
First we got an offer for 8 lakhs but before we could answer he stopped picking our phone and then today we got another offer, and from what I heard a bit is the person is saying that he will run the restaurant for 2 years, and if he likes it then he will buy it, otherwise no. In terms of 2 years, no amount will exchange from both parties, I will bear all loses and reap all profit, you don't have to give me anything, I don't give u anything. We also have a contract with place we rented that we will have to pay rent for 2 years, whether we use it or not, which currently is around 7 lakhs, meaning not affordable.
Do you think we should take the offer?

1 entire week of samoso
It’s been just over a week since launching Samoso and I’ve spent most of that time listening to feedback and improving things rather than just trying to sell.
So far I’ve:
Changed the menu and adjusted pricing
Switched our packaging to paper boxes
Increased the amount of filling in the samosas
Started testing baked samosas for the health conscious people alongside the fried ones
Built and launched a website so people can order directly instead of only through DMs
The website is now live ON THE BIO OF MY INSTAGRAM AND REDDIT
I’ve also got a few new ideas in the works specifically for Mumbai, including some new menu concepts and combinations that I think could be interesting.
Still a very small business and still learning every day, but it’s cool looking back at how much has changed in just one week. Would love to hear any feedback, suggestions, or things you think a samosa brand should try to stand out in a city like Mumbai.

A makeup artist recently contacted me to make fridge magnets for her team as Diwali gifts, so this is the sample I made for her and she really liked it!.
I’m also taking custom orders for fridge magnets and small table decor for corporate/employee and client gifting this Diwali.
You can customise them with your company logo, a funny meme/quote, or the name of an employee or client .
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this sample. Would you consider something like this as a Diwali gift? 😊

Looking for Indian packaging manufacturers who can do small MOQ printed rice bags
Hey everyone,
I’m starting a rice brand in India and I’m currently figuring out the packaging side of things.
I’m mainly looking for 10 kg rice bags and for the first pilot I’m trying to keep the quantity pretty controlled, around 5,000 bags total. There may be a few different designs / variants within that.
I’m specifically looking for Indian manufacturers / printers who can actually work with a smaller first order. I dont really want to jump straight into 20k 50k or 100k bags when I’m still testing the product.
The thing I’m also trying to understand properly is the whole cylinder + printing + bag manufacturing side.
For example, if one design requires 5 cylinders and I eventually have 3 related designs, is there a smart way to structure the artwork so that some cylinders can be reused and only 1 or 2 things change between designs?
I’m trying to avoid unnecessarily paying for a completely new set every single time.
Would really appreciate people who actually work in this space giving me some straight answers on:
● What material / construction would you recommend for a 10 kg rice bag
● What printing process is generally used
● Realistic MOQ for around 5,000 bags
● MOQ per design
● Cylinder cost
● Whether cylinders can be reused for future orders
● Whether related designs can share cylinders
● Printing cost vs bag manufacturing cost
● Sampling cost
● Lead time
● Any other one time charges I should know about
Also if you are a cylinder manufacturer yourself, I’d genuinely like to hear from you. I want to understand what the actual manufacturing economics of a cylinder are, not just what the final packaging vendor charges me.
Delhi NCR / Western UP / Haryana / Punjab / Rajasthan would be especially useful but I’m open to pan India if the vendor is good and can ship.
A little background because I think it matters here. My family has been in this trade for generations and has a substantial business supplying across Western UP, Uttarakhand and nearby areas. I’m now trying to build a rice brand of my own.
Not putting the brand name here yet.
If you’re a manufacturer, please comment with:
City | MOQ | Bag type | Printing process | Whether you manufacture in house
And if you’ve actually used a packaging vendor yourself, I’d really appreciate a recommendation too.
Thanks!

nutraceuticals startup – investment opportunity
India's nutraceuticals market is exploding but yet most brands are doing it wrong with same old formulations which either doesnt work consistenly or lack of peak synergy value.
I have spoke to creator of modern caffeine..(he liked my work), consulted world's strongest man, in touch with top biohackers around the world, guided many students in cafe for responsible-use of productivity boosters, engineered 25-30 moods myself, got friends off heavy medications etc.
Am 32, ex-software engineer, pioneered best location tracking in the industry for amsterdam's metro & rail system, & I have experience end-to-end about d2c & ecomm.
Humbly, I can build incredible supplements & formulations because I have studied multi-axial neurochemistry science and have been a hardcore biohacker. Most OTC supplement ingredients can solve most of your problems.
Everything is ready, shopify+amazon+flipkart, formulations, in-house organic content stream, meta ads creative strategies etc.
Am looking for 8-10+ lakhs of staggered investment & a strategic partner to launch. The range of investments decide the level of execution & skus to work on.
Feel free to reach me out. Thanks
Edit: People asking me in the comments why wouldnt i fund myself, respectfully, you are not my audience. Am only liable to answer the interested investors :)

Vertical Automated Rotary Parking Towers in Mumbai/Pune
I am evaluating a smart city infrastructure business model for high-density urban areas in India (specifically targeting Mumbai and Pune). The concept revolves around standardized vertical rotary parking systems (Ferris-wheel-style loops) to tackle the severe parking shortages.
THE BUSINESS MODEL AT A GLANCE
- Core Asset: Modular Mechanical Rotary Tower
- CapEx per 12-Car Tower: ₹11 Lakh – ₹14 Lakh
- Operational Footprint: 370 sq. ft. (5.3m x 2.2m)
- Electricity per Cycle: 0.2 - 0.5 kWh (~₹5 - ₹8 per vehicle retrieval)
- Maintenance (Annual AMC): ₹30,000 – ₹60,000 per tower
- Estimated Revenue (Mumbai): ₹100 – ₹150 / hour per spot
- DIMENSIONS & ENGINEERING SPECS
- Structure: High-tensile Q345 structural steel framework (weighs 15–25 metric tonnes) standing 13–15 metres tall.
- Mechanism: Powered by an 7.5 kW – 15 kW motor driving a 35-metre heavy-duty internal traction roller chain loop.
- Capacity: Standardized for 12 vehicles up to 2,500 kg per pallet (safely holds heavy SUVs).
- Civil Foundation: Requires deep reinforced concrete footings to handle up to 40 tonnes of dynamic structural load.
- REVENUE MULTIPLIERS & FUTURE PLANS
- Beyond Parking Fees: The true ROI comes from turning the 15-meter external steel structure into digital LED billboard advertising.
- EV Infrastructure: We can integrate EV charging docks right onto the parking pallets, allowing cars to charge while suspended.
- Corporate Pitching: The long-term goal is pitching this to conglomerates like Reliance (Jio-bp network) or Tata Power as a pre-packaged "Smart City Micro-Hub.
- ros:
- Extreme space efficiency (12 cars parked in the footprint of 2).
- Low operational overhead (power is only consumed while the motor rotates).
- Multiple revenue streams (Parking + Ads + EV Charging).
Cons:
- Complete power dependency (requires heavy investment in a backup generator setup).
- Severe dynamic asymmetric torque if one side is heavily loaded with SUVs while the other is empty.
- Navigating municipal regulatory red tape and safety certification
MY QUESTION :---
- Does the ₹11–₹14 Lakh CapEx from international structural suppliers sound realistic once import duties and foundation costs are added?
- What are the operational blind spots I am missing here?
IS IT FEASIBLE OR JUST MY WET DREAM? SINCE NOBODY IS DOING IT, I'LL WILL FACE FAR MORE CHALLENGES, ND LOT AMOUNT OF MONEY.
Sceptical about ROI
Should I just pitch it to big companies?
PS: it maybe a bullshit from chat gpt but just want's to know opinion genuinely

Studied abroad, came back to run a factory in India. Here's how "the system" actually works, and how I learned to deal with it
Background
I run a small manufacturing unit in India. I studied overseas and came back to start a business here, full of ideals about building something clean and professional.
Running a business in India is funny, challenging, frustrating, and sometimes very rewarding. This post is about the part nobody teaches you in a business school: dealing with the babus.
Scenario : The Fire NOC
When I first needed a fire NOC, I was honestly scared. I had no idea how to approach government officials.
Through a contact I learned the going rate: ₹50,000 for a clearance valid for 5 years.
What I learned from that process:
- Every state has its own fire department with its own ways of working.
- It's never one visit. Expect several. Eventually they come around and open up.
- The first few meetings will be rude. Arrogance, dismissiveness, being made to wait. Don't take it personally.
- Let them feel like they're winning. You're not there to marry them or become friends. You're there to get your work done.
The mindset shift
This system has been running for generations. It won't change in one, no matter who the PM is or which ideology is in power.
Politicians have always sold us hope, and we keep buying it. Eighty years after independence, the "one day it will all be cleaned up" promise still hasn't come true, and I don't see it happening anytime soon.
So the practical approach is simple:
- Control your emotions.
- Play the game the way it's played.
- Keep perspective. They're not asking for your house or your jewellery. It's usually somewhere between ₹5,000 and ₹50,000, depending on the project. I'm talking about MSME-scale work here, not large industry.
What I learned from people who've mastered it
Some of my friends from MARWARI families handle this brilliantly. They do it with a smile, pay what's needed, and keep the business moving. Then they build that cost into their margins. This is where business math matters.
I once spoke to an uncle in Surat who runs a ₹1,000 crore business. He said:
"Meri kamayi pe samaj ka bhi haq hai."
(Society also has a share in what I earn.)
When the nagar nigam, pollution board, or fire department people show up, he doesn't get worked up. He keeps an open mind and handles it. That's partly why people like him are where they are.
Then he said something I didn't expect:
"If I get a clean system, I'll work honestly."
The upside nobody mentions
Once they're taken care of, they generally leave you alone, and you can focus on actually running your business.
It also explains something: a lot of things in India cost more than they should, partly because this "cost of doing business" is quietly baked into prices everywhere.
- Corruption in India is systemic and isn't going away soon.
- Don't take the arrogance personally. You're there to get work done, not to win arguments.
- Stay calm and polite, and be patient. It takes multiple visits.
- Build these costs into your pricing like any other expense.
- Successful business owners haven't beaten the system. They've learned to work around it.
Curious to hear from other business owners: has your experience been similar, or have you managed to get clearances cleanly?

I’m building CyberCafeAI for Cyber Cafes / Jan Seva Kendras in India — looking for honest feedback
One thing I've noticed with smaller cyber cafes is that the problem isn't always the amount of work. Many operators simply don't have the right tools, APIs, technical knowledge, or workflows to do some online tasks efficiently.
They often have to search Google for different tools, use multiple websites, remember different processes, or manually figure out how to get a particular document or result.
That's one of the problems I'm trying to solve with CyberCafeAI.
The idea is to bring useful tools, guided workflows and automation into one platform.
For example, depending on what is legally and technically available for a particular service, I'm looking at workflows/tools around things like:
- PAN-related information and services
- Aadhaar-related services and permitted workflows
- RC / vehicle document lookup and PDF retrieval
- Driving Licence-related services and document retrieval
- GST services
- ITR / Income Tax services
- MSME registration
- RTO-related services
- Government forms and applications
- Document processing
- PDF utilities
- Passport photo tools
- Customer/application tracking
- Payment tracking
- WhatsApp notifications
- Secure document delivery
The bigger part is automation.
Instead of the operator manually doing every step, the idea is:
Enter customer details → select the required service → CyberCafeAI performs the available workflow in the background → operator gets the result.
Where browser automation or an official/authorized API is available, the system can handle the repetitive steps. If a portal temporarily fails or times out, the task can retry instead of the operator having to sit there refreshing the page and starting over.
This is especially useful for small cyber cafes where it's often the owner + one helper. They don't necessarily have the technical knowledge, paid tools, APIs, or time to figure out every new online service themselves.
I'm also including common free utilities under the same platform. Things like PDF tools and passport photo tools aren't meant to be revolutionary — they're there because I want an operator to have the everyday tools they need in one place instead of 20 bookmarks.
So the overall idea is less:
"Here's another CRM for your cyber cafe."
And more:
"Here's a digital toolbox + automation layer that helps you actually get the work done."
I'm still building it, and I'm particularly interested in feedback from people who actually run cyber cafes, Jan Seva Kendras, CSCs, online service centres, or similar businesses in India.
If you run one or have visited:
What task do you struggle with because you don't have the right tool or technical knowledge?
Which online service takes much longer than it should?
What would you love to simply enter once and let the system handle?
And if you think this idea is unrealistic, I'd genuinely like to know why.

Looking For Investors/Co-founders For A Nature And Origin Led Startup. (Equity Based)
Greetings y'all! I am Prag, a 23 year old business graduate from Assam, North-east India. Since the time I can remember, I have always felt a deep connection and sense of respect for this region. Its very different from the mainland India and immensely blessed by nature.
I am the founder of Source Northeast, a venture focusing on delivering the indigenous products and produce of Northeastern India globally. Many produce/products such as black rice, assam tea, ghost pepper, muga silk, agarwood etc, find their origin here.
Additionally, being a region deeply rooted/ connected with nature we also have extensive production of bamboo/cane based products and also potential of making eco-friendly substitutes for packaging, everyday products, fibers etc.
The problem:- Insufficient outreach for the producers/ farmers and artisans and where exists there are many middlemen, scattered sellers, wasted produce each years and very few businesses who actually are tapping the potential of the story/origin behind them since the region of northeast is very tribal like and close to nature.
The opportunity:- Growing demand for the items, low competition=higher margins, highlighting the story/ origin behind caters to conscious buyers.
The plan:- Our aim is to become the one stop hub for everything indigenous of NE and deliver it globally.
For that we plan to utilise two business models:-
i) B2B:- We will export the products and produce of North-East, sourcing straightly from the farmers, artisans and producers.
ii)B2C:- We start with selecting a basket of items like black rice, lakadong turmeric, black cardamom, assam tea, ghost peppers and others, package it under our brand and sell it globally.
I am looking for a possible investment against equity of $55K / Rs. 50 Lakhs to realise the plan.

Packaging manufacturers with low MOQs - we already have 30+ brands looking for suppliers
I’m working on a small group that helps early-stage brands find packaging manufacturers, and we already have 30+ D2C brands onboarded who are actively looking for suppliers .
One pattern we keep seeing:
Most of these brands struggle to find manufacturers willing to work with low to mid MOQs, especially for things like:
- custom boxes
- glass or PET bottles
- labels and stickers
- flexible pouches
- cosmetic packaging
Many of them end up spending weeks searching through directories or messaging suppliers one by one.
So we’re building a structured supplier discovery platform where brands can search packaging manufacturers based on:
- packaging type
- MOQ
- materials
- printing capability
- location
Right now we’re onboarding packaging manufacturers who are open to working with smaller brands or lower MOQs.
If you run a packaging manufacturing business and are open to new customers, I’d love to include you in the group.
Would love to know:
- What type of packaging do you manufacture?
- What is the typical MOQ you work with?
- Are you open to smaller or pilot orders?
- What industries do you usually serve (food, cosmetics, supplements, etc.)?
Happy to feature early suppliers prominently since the first set of brands is already actively searching for partners.
If interested, feel free to comment or DM.
Thanks!

Looking for an Investor/Partner to Launch a Managed PG Business in Mumbai (I handle 100% Operations & Execution)
Hey everyone,
I am planning to set up a Paying Guest (PG) accommodation business in Mumbai targeting students and young working professionals. I have a clear operational strategy, vendor contacts, and local area knowledge ready to go—what I am currently lacking is the initial capital.
I am looking for an investor or equity partner who wants passive returns while I handle the complete end-to-end execution.
What I Bring to the Table (My Role):
• Sourcing & Negotiation: Identifying high-yield rental properties in prime student/corporate corridors (e.g., Andheri, Vile Parle, Malad, or Navi Mumbai) and securing landlord/society NOCs.
• Full Setup & Procurement: Handling vendor negotiations for furniture, appliances, Wi-Fi, and fire safety compliance.
• Marketing & Occupancy: Managing listings, local SEO, social media, and lead generation to maintain high occupancy.
• Day-to-Day Operations: Tenant onboarding, mandatory Mumbai Police verification, rent collection, maintenance, and handling resident issues.
What I am Looking For (Partner Role):
• Financial Investment: Capital needed to cover initial security deposits, 11-month Leave & License registration, basic furnishing, and initial operating buffer.
• Structure: Open to a revenue-share model (e.g., higher profit split to the investor until principal is recovered, then transitioning to an equity split) or a fixed-return partnership.
Business Highlights & Economics:
• Market Demand: Consistent, high demand from students and corporate joiners moving to Mumbai.
• Scalability: High rent-to-bed yield potential once the first unit stabilizes.
• Risk Mitigation: Clear Leave & License agreements with tenants and compliance with the Model Tenancy Act (max 2 months' deposit structure).
If you are an investor looking for exposure to real estate cash flow in Mumbai without the operational headache, let’s connect.

Looking for someone who can bring clients — I’ll handle the tech
I’m a B.Tech AI/ML student and I’m currently learning and building things around AI automation. I’m looking for someone who’s good at finding clients, sales, marketing, or lead generation and would be interested in working together.
I’m still learning myself, so I’m not going to pretend I’m some expert or that I already have a big agency. But I’m comfortable taking care of the technical side and I’m willing to put in the work to actually build and deliver the solutions.
The idea is pretty simple: if you can bring a client with a problem that can be solved through automation, I’ll handle the technical work and we can earn from the project together.
We can start small with things like WhatsApp chatbots, lead follow-ups, CRM automation, appointment systems, AI customer support, or other simple business automations, and gradually take on bigger projects as we get better.
I’m mainly looking for someone who already has some experience getting clients or has access to businesses and genuinely wants to work together. You don’t need to be technical or know AI.
I’m not looking for someone to just give me advice. I’d actually like to find someone who wants to bring in work, build things together and make some money from it.
If you’re interested, feel free to DM me and tell me a little about yourself and what you currently do.
