If you’re a morning person, sure lol

Eh, one of mine wakes up at 6 (and hates summer/wintertime changes), the other one is useless and asleep before 10. Not all dogs are early risers

Nothing beats watching an animal suddenly activate turbo mode for absolutely no reason.

I loved that he wound himself up with the zoomies and had to anti-zoom to unwind himself.

My smallest dog does this-we call it Fudge-nado (his name is Peanut Butter Fudge aka Fudge). We had to teach him the reverse move to lose the dizzying effect. Otherwise he would stumble like he was drunk.
Although when he does it I do go into Weather Report voice and let the other dogs and cats know “there is a Fudge-nado starting by the chair and making its way across the living room”.
Because that amuses me lol

We had a foster dog for a while that would slowly wander up into our bedroom in the morning, check the window for any cats to spy on and then walk over and sit down on my side of the bed and wait patiently for me to stir, tail wagging slightly. She'd go nuts as soon as I opened an eye. It was adorable, and I miss her :(

Cute, but would also be annoying af every single morning lol

You'd think so. But it's hard to be angry when they have such cute faces.
My terrier used to start her shenanigans when everyone was in bed. I'd hear her walk around and then there'd be some rustling sounds, and then she'd gallop around shaking whatever she was holding in her mouth, growling like she was really into it 😂
I will say she has stopped scratching to be let in, and instead stands outside my door smacking her lips like "a snack would be nice right about now !!"

Used to have salt n pepper mini schnauzer
The best dogs ever, and hypoallergenic
Sadly it's 3k for a puppy in chicago area
And yes, I check dog shelters and adoption websites, they never have mini schnauzer puppies

I never thought I'd be able to have a dog growing up because my dad is allergic, but we ended up being able to get a mini schnauzer and I can only agree on them being the best dogs ever. Before getting her I always saw myself getting a Labrador or Golden, but I can't picture getting another breed now.

I have a toy poodle that loses her mind every morning when you say, “good morning!” to her.
It never gets old.

It's like our cat. My wife hated when she was sleeping with us at night, because she would wake us up to get pets and such.
I always thought it was adorable and I miss that, but with our baby we dont really wanna let her go into the sleeping area at night anymoreHope one day the cat can have free access again

I had a dog who would do this when I was living with my grandmother. Whenever I needed to be woken up, my grandma would be like "go get (name)! Then she would zoom upstairs and launch herself onto the bed. Then she would lick my face or stick their face under the covers to find me. One time I tucked myself under covers so deep, she decided to literally dig me up by acting like she was digging a hole. Then after I stared giggling, she found my face and went to town on me with so much licks I felt like I was being licked to death. She got too old to jump on the bed at one point but she always ran upstairs and would sit at my bedside till I got up. She was a crazy cockapoo name Roxie. I miss that dog.

When I was a stay-up-too-late teen, my Mom would send our Boxer to wake me up. We had the exact same routine! I'd hide, she'd dig, then kisses galore! I miss her, too.

For some reason my first thought was "it took 3 people to make this video" 🤔🤔🤔

The 14 second duration makes me feel this is AI. Does anyone know who this video belongs to?

u/organized_meat 5h ago edited 4h ago
I’ve seen this video before, it has been around and this is not the original clip length, the video has been cropped. This is typical Mini Schnauzer behavior (I have one, he does this). Nothing really screams AI.

Why is a 14 second duration suspicious? Asking for myself so I can get better at spotting AI.

u/Significant-Cod-9555 4h ago
most AI models have a max video length of around 15 seconds, which they can extend by basically starting over with the last video as a go by. So a video over 15 seconds without any cuts makes it less likely to be AI. Of course every month the videos get longer, they used to all max at 8 seconds

Also if you look at where the person should be under the blanket and where the dog is jumping around, it doesn't seem like there's actually a body under there. It does a good enough job of keeping some sort of shape if you're not looking closely, because you're focused on the dog, but if you do look closely it looks very suspicious.

The woman curls into a ball (facing away from the camera) as she throws the blanket over her head. I think it's real

this happens to me most mornings, but with a 80 pound Lab and a 75 pound German Shepard

u/Fnarkfnark 10h ago
Our GSD used to first come up and lean his nose on your arm, but if you didn't react enough he would put his whole upper body over your chest.
Sweet, but a tiny bit heavy when you're not awake.

This is the cutest thing ever. Saved. No awards option so 👏🏼
Never mind, I figured it out. Option in same drop-down as Save. 🙄😏

For me, the cutest moment is the little scrabbling for grip at the very start. Legs going crazy but very little forward motion until it reaches a critical point. :)

As a young guy - many moons ago - when I worked nights, my mom would send my dog - a very boisterous Dalmatian - into my bedroom when she decided it was time that I got up! Not a way to wake up that I'd recommend!

u/Snabelpaprika 9h ago
Had a mini schnauzer growing up. She loved waking us up too. Lazy teenagers who slept way to much when we had balls to throw and walkies to do! She knew the word "wake" and we combined it with our names and she just "hell yeah, im with you! Open the door to their room and i handle the rest!"

My schnauzer did the exact same thing lol. Then he’d steal our stuffed animal and run away with it to make sure we really got up

My chocolate lab/aussie mix does this commonly. Unfortunately she's also 90 pounds currently...

My grandmas dog loved to do this. I first kind of hated it but it was so cute. Everyday on vacation she calmly sat down in front of the glass door at around 09:30 and waited till my grandmother opens the door so she finally could wake me up. Sometimes she noticed that I'm already waking up and then started to run between my grandma and the door back and forth until she would let her in.
