My reaction is always scream. I scream when I come down a hallway and my husband surprises me from coming out a room. I scream at everything. Apparently a strong startle response is connected to anxiety, and I got a bunch of that. I'm like one of those cats that jump at a cucumber. I had to work on not shoving him on top of screaming.

I have a friend who punches when she gets scared, especially if you wake her up. Just angry immediately, like a greyhound.

Another girl freezes like a doe in headlights at everything. You walk in and say hi? Freeze. Catch her sneaking a brownie? Freeze. Doesn't make a sound. Just freezes and sometimes drops to the ground. Like a fainting goat.

Apparently my friend group is the world's worst petting zoo.
