Or maybe she was just petrified. Most people will react that way in such a situation. They freeze. You may think you'll respond differently but it's very likely you will too.

I dont like to hurt people.

Consequently, didnt know that till I had to. He fell down and started making wounded animal sounds as I quickly exited the bus and walked to my destination.

I should have called the police but I wasn't thinking very clearly. This was quite a long time afo and I was much younger.

But seriously, some people would’ve retaliated harder after being kicked in the face. It’s a terrifying crapshoot risk versus consequence.

In some cases we do die if we try and fight back.

Fight, flight, freeze, or fawn. Everyone will have ONE of these reactions. Fawn is trying to please your attacker to avoid getting hurt which is likely what she was doing since women have no way of knowing if the person coming at them could be crazy enough to stab them.
