edit: just want to add that the actual story from Republicans about how this happened behind the scenes is they saw the text messages about the games, looked up NBA games, and saw the one in Atlanta, went "GOTCHA!" and went with that.
They didn't even consider that it could BE Women's basketball, so the Caitlyn Clark playing bit of his reply is what I think immediately made Britt realize "oh no."
There's literally video of him at the other game he mentioned. I can only imagine how hard it must've been not to literally burst out laughing when Smith realized "oh shit, they literally have the wrong game this is fucking HILARIOUS"
It's Alex Jone's lawyers accidentally turning over his whole phone to the prosecutors and then not bothering to take the legal steps required to claw it back levels of funny 🤣

If the posts I have read are correct the idiots read a post from his staff that said he was at a basketball game, found out there was only one NBA game at that time so assumed it had to be that NBA game and he lied. Like NCAA games never get watched, much less high school games.

I've also been considering where we would put Mitch McConnell on the 'most useless senator' spectrum.
To be fair, I can't see Mitch running away from the capital on J6, like Hawley. I suspect he would be smarter and would pimp up his ride to depart at speeds known previously only to Stephen Hawkings after a physics experiment on his wheelchair.
I also doubt that Mitch would have made the same mistake that Schmitt did yesterday. Being unable to open your mouth to speak more than two coherent sentences means not being able to put your foot in it.
Actually on that proviso, I think we could consider Mitch the most useful senator currently in office.

Just because he was in town over a weekend at a ball game WHOMSOEVER the team somehow he was colluding with Fani Wallis????????? Also he was an official officer and so was she for GA and they were both going after the same crook: Donald J. Trump for trying to overthrow an election!!!
