Nobody does 24/7 body tuning. Not body builders. Definitely not actors. It's too stressful. Too exhausting. And it's extremely destructive. This guy is over it all.he did his work and now he wants to enjoy the payoff.
Im not a WH40K enthusiast but I kind of can't wait to see it. The dedication this guy has to his passions are impressive.

Cavill maintained his strict body shape for a long time. People should let him be how he pleases.
Christian Bale is probably more dedicated with how extreme he has shifted his body composition from movie to movie.

Thats different, its borderline psychotic levels of incredible but its one thing to work hard for a role, another to be just walk around cumgutters for 15 years. And he had bulk so he wasnt just toning and fasting, he was probably cycling 3-4k calories to maintain. Your asshole was not meant for this, particularly in protein

I’m a 40K fan and his insistence on being lore accurate gives me hope. They screwed him over on the Witcher so let’s hope his dream project pays off. I’m so looking forward to it.

u/ughlump 15h ago
That’s gonna be incredibly hard with about what? 500-600 books of lore alone? I for one can’t wait to see it.

u/Paradehengst 8h ago
Alone picking the setting is already daunting. You'll definitely disappoint some fans because their faction isn't included, etc. bla bla... I can already see the online fighting over whatever they are cooking up.
For me, I just hope it will be grimdark, which will bring its own set of problems.

u/Cerberusx32 16h ago
Especially because the first picture looks like him for Super-Man, while the other is of him not working on a major project.

u/Timetraveller4k 16h ago
Its a good plan - do what you can when young and enjoy the rest of your life.

u/SalineDrip666 15h ago
I worked out consistently for over 20 years. I understand the feeling of just wanting to enjoy life a bit

There's some AI or angles here. He didn't change that much

u/Responsible_Pie8156 16h ago
Yeah it's so obvious. Just look at the artifacting in the hair. It's so uncanny and stood out to me immediately

u/Gindotto 16h ago
100% AI on the left. He’s wearing a cape on bare shoulders. 🤣 That must have been in the Snyder Cut. 😆

u/RealisticIncident261 10h ago
Angles, water weight and a beard. In the first photo he was dehydrated as fuck for the movie.
Look at how far back his head is, it's back as far as it can go. If he weight cut for a week, shaved and slicked back his hair he would look the same.

He attained an unrealistic body type for some roles. It would be insane to expect him to maintain that for several years. Unless you want to be someone like the Rock or Alan Ritchson and make it literally your entire lifestyle to be that guy (including taking lots of "supplements"), it just isn't happening.
6
u/untakenu 16h ago
Have you ever seen bodybuilders 95% of the time? They look more like the right than the left.
On the left is a man clenching his jaw with his head slightly further forward, head tilted up a little, having been on a strict diet to look a certain way fkr a film. On the right is a relaxed man, mouth slightly open (relaxed the neck).
He's still jacked and still very handsome.

u/TheJohnnyFlash 16h ago
All this does is out dudes that are in poor shape and never trained seriously in their lives.
On that movie set he's trained for months and cut weight for the shooting days he's showing the most. He doesn't even look like Superman does in the movie two weeks after shooting.
12
u/QuantumPairOfSoczk 16h ago
Also that tight muscle thin skin body builder look is caused by dehydration
2
u/Greenshardware 15h ago
Anyone who has trained seriously knows you don't become superman by working out for a few months and cutting weight before a shoot...
Not without "help."

Hmm now that’s a job I haven’t thought about.
You get paid well? Seems like a job not many people are seeking so I’d assume it’s good pay. Asking as I’m currently in an electrical engineering program specializing in machine maintenance, and I think I’d have some knowledge that would translate well

u/irrevocable_discord9 16h ago
Give the guy a chance to shave and shed some water weight for fucks sake. Nobody looks like a hero 24/7 except narcissists

It's just the angle of one bad photo. Don't let Internet fool you, Henry Cavill is still handsome as fuck in most other photos and interviews
2
u/StunningLetterhead23 16h ago
Tbf, I believe even if he turn into a fat fuck, my wife would still leave me for him in a heartbeat.
Heck, if I was her, I'd leave me for Henry Cavill in a heartbeat too. No contest, no second thoughts.

I would totally understand it if my husband left me for him. I'd even be kinda worried if he wouldn't! And I know he feels the same way, because we've said this to each other on more than one occasion.
His looks are only a very small part of this btw. I mean, Cavill is just as big a nerd as me and my husband with his love for gaming, building PC's etc

u/vespers191 15h ago
So, Superman picture after he's spent three days actively cutting water for maximum definition, vs him ten years later in the off season. 🙄

maybe they were actually impressed with the transformation and the person just assumed they were mocking him.

He could get back to the shape in the left picture within half a year, if he wanted or needed to for a role.

From Superman to Seth Rogen, nah but for real leave the man be. Bro is living his best life.

u/OneTrueCosmos 11h ago
At a certain age you stop caring what you look like... Especially if you're happy.

u/lnTheGrimDarkness 9h ago
It's much simpler than that.
Actors, when they need to look extremely jacked, will undergo dehydration in addition to everything else. When they ultimately get to shoot the movie, they are dry as the desert and basically as skinny as they can get. In the first picture bro was probably shooting something. In the second picture you can see a normally fit human being.

u/bent_crater 9h ago
honestly that's just a shitty picture. dude needs to thre drops of olive on that head and wash his face. boom 80% beck to the the front pic

I firmly believe that the majority of teenagers think that ugly people (or people who lose their looks) need to kill themselves. Zero sympathy or understanding for how aging works from those who haven't experienced it yet.

u/Zealousideal_Draw384 7h ago
he smokes meat? what does that mean?
3
u/No_Internal_1103 5h ago
Exactly what it means, he puts minced meat inside a paper, folds it up and lights it to smoke.

You can’t age “however you want.” It’s not like you can control everything. What a dumb statement.

Can we have it both ways. He’s been on trt, growth hormone and steroids while claiming not to. Like almost all actors.

If I remember correctly, he recently spoke about the routine to get those 'sharp edges'.
Basically, actors that do that overhydrate for multiple weeks and then extremely dehydrate by basically not drinking anything for days, which makes them increasingly sick, the longer the shoots take.
It retracts skin, so the skin wraps very closely to the muscles, making them more defined and the muscles wrap closer to the bones, creating sharp edges.
Basically, it's very unhealthy look and only a temporary effect. But somehow we got brainwashed by media, to accept it as normal.

Even if he did change this much he’s still hotter than 95% of the male population. 🤷♀️

Really hate that being in love, a dad and happy is treated as an excuse/contributing factor to getting out of shape. It's not and he's not. You and your mindset are.
2
u/spartansix2 16h ago
Do you have kids? I would have said the same thing before I had my first.
When you get 2 hours of sleep at a time, your chore load is doubled because your wife is recovering, and your testosterone level drops (which happens to guys after becoming fathers), I promise you won’t hit the gym like you used to.
Not impossible to get back in shape but those first few months are rough.
