Yes there’s a mutation (one of servers variations) that’s almost exclusively in Redheads that makes them unusually resistant to anaesthetics.
You do get some blondes and brunettes who’s share this trait but they’re usually only a generation or so removed from a red-headed family member and the mutation isn’t passed on since that point.
Same with the mutation that limits their pain response or the one found in some blondes that causes rapid scarification (wounds and cuts close quicker and develop scar tissue at an accelerated rate but this also means smaller cuts that wouldn’t scar do rather than healing more cleanly and slowly).
