Characters Heroes whose source of power is the very evil they are fighting against
- Blue Beetle (DC Comics): Jaime Reyes gets his powers through his symbiotic bond to The Scarab, Khaji-Da. Turns out it’s one of many Scarabs created by The Reach, an alien race of conquerors who’d send The Scarabs to make sure they tale over the hosts and conquer planets on their behalf. However, Khaji-Da was damaged which prevented it from fullfilling its purpose of taking over Jaime’s mind. Now, Jaime uses the power of The Scarab for good.
- Deku (My Hero Academia): All Might had given him his quirk, One For All. The source of the quirk was All For One’s brother. Thinking his brother was quirkless, AFO had given him the quirk of “stockpiling quirks” which then combined with his own ability of “transferring quirks” to create One For All. This power would be passed down from generations to fight against evil people such as AFO with Deku being the latest.
- Kamen Rider (…): Every single Kamen Rider are somewhat related to the villains they are fighting against. Be it them being from the same source (KR Fourze and Horoscopes both using Cosmic Power, KR Saber and Megids both deriving their powers from Book of Omniscience) or being the same species as the monsters they fight (KR Faiz is Orphnoch, KR Kiva is half Fangire, KR Gavv is half Granute). Ever since the first Kamen Rider, every single one of them had their powers be connected to the villains they are fighting.

Mace Windu gets his strength by using Vaapad, which draws energy from the dark side.
To be a bit more specific though, in a simplified way, the higher the rush of satisfaction to win is, the stronger the wielder becomes. Sith deal with the dark side, which focuses heavily on emotional urges and the need to retaliate rather than submitting to a code of conduct. As you can surmise, they will use underhanded abilities to be victorious. Vaapad accepts that and uses it against them.

Psykers are the magicians in Warhammer 40K. They draw their power from the Warp - literal demon infested hell - to fight Orks, Tyranids and, well demons among others. Most humans dislike and fear them because there is always a chance they get corrupted. But they are too useful to not utilize.
Except when you are a traitor of course, then you use the power you worship to fight.

Well it is in a dragon's nature to dominate lesser beings. That could be seen as evil so fo speak. Especially from the perspective of being the lesser beings.

Tav, Durge, etc (Baldur's Gate 3)
The game revolves around stopping an invasion of mind flayers and thwarting the plans of three gods of death. Your character is infected with a parasite meant to turn you into a mind flayer. Depending on the player's choices, you can empower this parasite and use it to fight others who carry the same parasite.

Parasyte anime. Alien esq creatures take over humans, however the protagonist manages to stop the alien from taking over his entire body.
The alien then can only control his arm, so they are forced to work together to fight the rest of the parasytes.

Luke Skywalker's force powers come from Darth Vader
Devil May Cry's Dante's power come from being half demon
Goku's powers in Dragon Ball come from being a Saiyan (Saiyan Saga)
Tommy's powers in Power Rangers come from Rita
In some adaptations, the spider that bit Spider-Man was a creation of Oscorp
It's an extremely common trope.

Vader wasn't the source of the Force.
The rest of your points are good but just needed to point that out.

u/SmokinDynamite 4h ago
Luke's power isn't the force. The force exists independently of Luke and around everything. Luke's power is his force sensitivity, which comes from Vader.

u/SRSgoblin 4h ago
That's not how the force works. He literally develops his ability to utilize the force in the first film. He might have had a leg up due to family heritage, but other people can utilize the force in the universe. It's not a power he draws from dear old dad, nor one that weakens once Vader perishes.
That's like arguing a guy who punches his dad and wins a fist fight got their strength from their father.

Most people in the Star Wars universe are not force sensitive though. It's a rare trait, which his strong in his family, because of his father.
It's no different than most of my other example. People who are not sayians can also use Ki, yet Goku's ability comes from being a Saiyan. Other Power Rangers' power do not come from Rita, yet Tommy's come from Rita.
By the same token, there are other force users who are not children of Vader, yet Luke in particular is a force user because he is Vader's son.

Rare that I get to use the same one twice in a week. Raven from Teen Titans: Her father is a cosmically powerful extra-dimensional demon named Trigon who impregnated a human cultist to create a child that will ultimately be his doorway into this world and his physical body in it.
She has reality warping powers that she can only control by maintaining a meditative and calm mind. When she loses emotional control her powers run wild and her father gets a chance to take over her mind and occasionally gains a moment or two of brief control until she reasserts herself.
She lives her early years in fear and preparation for a prophecy that states she will open the gate for her father on her 18’th birthday when she becomes an adult and unleash him upon the world.

Skrull Kill Krew from Marvel. They were a group of Skrull hunters who were all affected by Skrull tainted beef from Skrulls who became cows due to the Fantastic Four. The cows ended up in the food supply and mutated the rare person who ate it.

More comic book movies than I care to list.
Granted, they usually have a lot of non-mirror enemies, but for some reason executives only want those ones.
“Hey! What if the hero fought someone with their same powers, but they’re wearing a darker outfit?”
“To teach them that they are more than just their powers? Or that they need to rely on others? Or should be creative?”
“Okay, first of all, you’re fired”
It’s so bad we had Spider-man vs Venom, and then Venom vs a grey Venom.

Played with in Dispatch. Malevola is, according to her file, a half demon from Australia. While the Red Ring has nothing to do with demons or Hell, Malevola has an interesting reaction to them almost killing Chase. During the final mission, Flambae asks what is going to happen if Chase dies. Malevola assures Flambae that Chase will be taken care of if that happens, implying that Chase's soul is either 100% going to heaven or 100% going to a "good" demon that she knows and trusts. Prism naturally asks how the fuck Malevola could know that and what exactly Malevola is, ontologically speaking.
Also, until we know otherwise, it is safe to assume that Hell in the Dispatchverse is associated with an ultimate evil (even if not everybody in hell is evil) until we're told otherwise. That's how Hell usually works in fiction. This means that Malevola is fighting (relative) evil with the powers of (absolute) evil. The fact that her magical sword has a name that can only be pronounced in the tongue of demons adds to the "evil vs evil" implications.

Not an exact fit, but the sickly Elric of Melniboné takes up a demonic soul-eating sword, which gives him strength, from his Chaos Lord patron Arioch. Otherwise he would need to continually take potions to do anything active. Elric is an anti-hero and not always fighting against Chaos, but there is a lot of conflict between him, the Chaos Lords and the sword itself.
