For $1200 I will be expecting copious amounts of alchohol and drugs to help me play along with this.

u/Chubby_Beagle 7h ago
That's what I was thinking. For 1200 bucks I can buy a lot of drugs to make me happy

Humans will do anything except organize and demand a better life from those that oppress them.

What about this is rage bait? It's just a stupid, cringe video. And you still replied to it anyway.

I’ve had gatherings exactly like this where copious amounts of LSD were consumed.

anxiety triggered

Exactly. Being forced to be "happy" is my most hated trigger. If someone tells me that I'm freaking out hard. Fuck that and people are idiots.

That second one I would get immediately overstimulated and start throwing hands. I don't like being poked

Imagine walking through the woods for a nice quiet, relaxing stroll and you came across these 😅 I'd shit my pants.

Not my type of joy but if it's makes you happy, "can it can't be that bad." I forgot the next line in that song.

Might be a nice idea if it was just a normal club that's free. Money ruins it.

Alpha boot camp people should swap with these people so we can get a good laugh.

That money can feed so many people in need!!
Go to poor areas and drop money or buy groceries. No one should be hungry.
Helping with basic needs like food to others is a reward to your soul. I like helping others, buy them food when they ask, give money to a senior who is homeless, etc. That's more precious than this

Toxic Positivity. Not feeling your full range of emotions fully is what keeps people anxious, depressed, and unregulated. This is why I gave up on Spirituality - everything is so fucking dumb and makes absolutely no sense.

The only reason this is less gay than the alpha male version is they included women.

This would actually be somewhat fine if it wasn’t 1200$

$400 a night isn't that crazy for decent hotels now a days, what's all included is the question

Do you know what I do that is sort of like this, but doesn’t cost $1200? Plan weekends with my friends, even just at my house. We are grown adult adults, and have regular unscripted fun. It has changed a lot since when we were younger. We used to play music, and have too much to drink, and laugh and laugh and laugh. Now we still talk, and laugh, and go for walks and make food, and sometimes somebody leave to just take a nap.
We played in a band when we were younger, and now we still say we play in a band, but mostly we just play some of the old songs sometimes. Mostly we just get together. It makes us better human beings. We don’t have to pretend to be laughing. We’re actually laughing. And we’re not always laughing, sometimes we are just connecting, and sometimes that’s sad. Sometimes things happening in people’s lives are heavy. And that’s OK, and part of the human experience. We can continue to be a community. We don’t need to force it, but we do have to make the effort. And that’s probably the biggest thing that we’ve done right in our friendship over the last 30 years. We have made the effort.

u/PopTraditional9997 8h ago
Yeah, you gotta have friends for that.
3
u/Ben-solo-11 8h ago
That’s true. There is no magic bullet for that.
3
u/PopTraditional9997 8h ago
Yeah, that friend circle quickly depletes mid 30's. It's all good. Weed helps.
4
u/Ben-solo-11 8h ago
We are in our 50s. Just kept making the effort, making time for each other. Families, careers, etc. gotta make time for each other through it. Not easy, but one of the best life decisions I made.

As a 30 something myself it's hard. People are so committed to their comfort zone and a bunch of us are straight up depraved. In my community it's hard to even find a decent play date for my kid because so many of the parents I wouldn't trust dog sitting

Mental illness is what I call it
3
u/Joice_Craglarg 7h ago
I mean, it is. Mentally well people don't sign up for stuff like this.
They're probably all anxious, depressive people. I think it's silly, but at least they're trying to do something about it.
