I hope her head didn’t hit the curb for the sake of homie’s freedom, even though she asked for that shit.

Homie was clearly defending himself

I get that, but the justice system hasn’t always historically been…just.

Self Defense has a very narrow legal definition. Rolling the window up and driving away is self defense. Getting out of your car to throw hands is mutual combat.

People have gotten away with shooting people just for being approached "aggressively." This guy would be alright, especially with video evidence.

Add to that a potential jury trial where a white woman died at the hands of an (apparently) younger black man, and the statistics get even worse for the driver.

Juries tend not to see it that way

Jury might not see if that way when a 5.4 130lbs woman holding her fist like a toddler attempts the weakest kid punch against a 6'1 man.

Defense is often proportional in laws... It's not carte blanche to start shooting.

She was stabbing him

Hard to tell if she has a knife or not.

If she did then yeah it's fine because she's wielding a lethal object/weapon.

Yeah, she had a knife and was stabbing him in the neck.

Yeah, her, and her man don’t seem to really have that many brain cells in between them.

He better hope that cars battery was dead. He could have drove off. He didn't need to get out to fight. That's a really important part of the story.

Self defense. Doesn't matter if she died

"She punched me first" does not make it self defense. That's mutual combat. From the instant he opened that door rather than roll up his window and drive away he lost all legal claims to self defense.

You're a certainly not a lawyer. She had nothing to do with the original fight. She included herself. She deserved what she got

patently false

Assuming the car is able to move, the driver has the capacity to operate the vehicle, etc….perhaps you, nor I know enough facts to assert shit

-1

u/BlackSquirrel05 5h ago

That's not how that works lol.

Should probably read your state laws...

4

u/chairmanhao3 5h ago

It is how it works. If you assault me, I can punch you. If you die from that one punch. Your fault

-2

Lol... No.

Also you're thinking of battery not assault.

Again... Look up "self defense laws (my state here)" and "Self defense my state "use of lethal force."

Don't argue with me on it lol pull up your state laws.
