And whatever parasocial fandom they do have left, they tried to POISON them with extremely poisonous cocktail recipes using flowers that'll make you finally see Valko IRL

r/gachagaming fighting which game will EOS, meanwhile LADS wants to EOS the player

They actually put DATURA in a cocktail recipe... What the hell were they thinking?

u/7-7______Srsly7 6h ago

Datura and flame lilies. They should've added belladonna and white hemlock too for good measure. 🤡

Little snippet from the Wikipedia page, I think someone at Infold may be a legit serial killer

21

u/LaplaceZ 5h ago

I couldn't believe it when I saw it lol. Some of them may have died, but it was hilarious.

35

u/crazispaghetti 5h ago

Seems like those fans were fine with it too considering how hard they attacked others for demanding a disclaimer. 💀

They've used poisonous flowers on past birthday cakes and people recreated them irl just fine without any poisoning. Like cmon these are grown women why are you treating them like stupid babies.

25

u/MODERNHoolaHoop 5h ago edited 5h ago

It's assumed all of the ingredients for cakes are made of edible stuff you collect in the mini-game (cream, cookies, paste, chocolate etc.). Even if there were some inedible toppers (like some toys, candles or whatever), I still doubt they use actual flowers for the cake and not fake flowers. The cakes also weren't promoted as recipes.

But I sure hope everyone is safe after recreating those cakes, flowers being real or not aside, common problem for people is trying to eat inedible toppers, thinking they're edible, which leads to broken teeth. We still need warnings for stuff like that irl (EDIT: I'm talking about bakeries etc. here).

35

u/MaiaNyx 5h ago

We have to put warnings on microwave packages that the contents will be hot.

29

u/SwimmingNet2078 5h ago

Did this cake have specific ingredients list? Like the post did?

19

u/Future_Phenix 4h ago

Nope, it didn't lol

28

u/7-7______Srsly7 6h ago

You'd be surprised of much grown women can act like stupid babies too. The cow shit flinging was proof of that.

Also, these were in-game cakes that had no recipe or proper ingredients lists to follow. Infold didn't go out their way to make a post about it on social media where they could reach more unsuspecting people.

More obviously dangerous tools have warnings for them. Hoyo even made a conscious effort to replace Calla Lilies with lotus seeds/paste on their Teyvat Food Notes. I don't see why Infold couldn't have done the same.

25

u/Therian00 6h ago

Do grown women send cow dung to a company? Also not all the lads players are actual grown women. Unless there is heavy verification method (which last i check there wasnt in game)

-26

u/Luckyyyee 6h ago

those recipes are for the in-game drinks in the minigame. Not a real recipe to copy. And those flowers are the love interests signature flowers they use for them all the time. Only larpers are tripping out over something that is obvious to any real player

36

u/7-7______Srsly7 5h ago

"Real player" get that BS out of here. It's just average fandom behavior to recreate recipes, real or not, in-game. Poisonous plants aren't common knowledge for everyone. A disclaimer within the original post itself would've taken them zero effort and way less backlash.

-16

u/Doc179 5h ago

Is there a backlash? Did anyone from LADS community give a shit, or was it just tourists on twitter?

29

u/7-7______Srsly7 5h ago

Yep. There was even an article, and a few well-known Genshin CCs got hated on because they dared to add a disclaimer themselves on the drinks. I was honestly amused at one person accusing Bran of "mansplaining", all because he was warning people not to try recreating it.

-12

u/Doc179 5h ago

Surely you understand that Genshin CCs are not from LADS community? The question is about the community of the game, not tourists. Backlash from tourists will not affect LADS players' spending.

8

u/yeagerist104 4h ago

These are the players that Infold wants to keep? Good riddance. Let them have the game. It's not lasting anyway with the lack of common sense along the remaining player base.

-29

u/Luckyyyee 5h ago

It's tourists and boycotters who have been attacking anything the company puts out lol. A disclaimer would have been fine but any real player knows it was about the drinks from the minigame and the LI signature flowers that they are referenced with all the time

24

u/7-7______Srsly7 5h ago

"Attacking the company"

Remind me again which side ran a full on smear campaign and brought the "cow dung girl" moniker onto themselves? Lol, y'all are honestly funny. Imma hit the block now. It would be an honor if the OG Chop5 sub finds this.

16

u/mimsy__borogoves 4h ago edited 4h ago

People from that sub jump through so many mental hoops to always be on the opposing side of boycotters. Their posts legitimately make me laugh because its honestly ridiculous. They dont want the company to be better, they just want to feel superior lmao.

u/NotFeelingWellRN7 3h ago

Lol, it feels like the female equivalent of those unfiltered subs, or the queer cringe subs. Miserable, self-centered, apathetic fucks who would lick the company's feet for the sake of their pixelated adultified tamagotchis.

27

u/PreciselyKai 5h ago

We know they are the signature flowers, that doesn't make them less toxic.

The problem here is that they marketed them as recipes.

-17

u/Luckyyyee 5h ago

So where were you when they were posting these same flowers on the LI birthday cake? No one had an issue then. And again, these are fictional recipes that are for the in-game minigame that we currently have. Only people who don't play the game wouldn't know of this

19

u/Berucchi 5h ago

You are not getting it...they were not sharing the cakes as recipes, the drinks were written with a RECIPE and the list of ingredients included toxic flowers that should not be used even as garnish.

You can make flowers for cakes by piping buttercream or wafer paper, so your argument about the LI birthday cakes does not work, it's not the same thing.

1

u/Luckyyyee 4h ago

It's a fictional recipe for a fictional drink made by blobbu creatures. They could have added a disclaimer. They've already done it now. And the drink description from the game's event shop always said it's laced with the forbidden lmao.

You guys took something wholesome, fun and silly meant for actual players that know what it's about and are making serious and false accusations. Claiming that infold is releasing a serious poisonous recipe to harm people when it's not the reality. That's the type of misinformation I was replying to

-13

u/Luckyyyee 5h ago

Yes people do recreate in game recipes all the time and they're never stupid enough to use the poisonous LI flowers that have been in the game for years. But no logical statement would get through to people who want to attack anything the company does

29

u/7-7______Srsly7 5h ago

Again. The knowledge of the flowers being poisonous is not common , no matter how long one can be playing the game and reading everything. But I digress. No logical statement will get through to people who defend this company's frankly dangerous incompetence.

-20

u/1996baby 6h ago

Not here to argue but to provide more context. There's a mini game in the current event where you make those drinks for the blobbus (pic below). They are not a real recipes for irl drinks.

And the flowers have been there for years and on birthday cakes too. Besides, where is this energy for the lily of the valley and chocolates which are supposed to be for the canceled wolf? Both are poisonous for him.

37

u/PreciselyKai 5h ago edited 4h ago

The cakes weren't marketed as recipes.

And we warn about lilies all the time too. Did you forget that Valko is half wolf? He's obviously given things wolves wouldn't normally be able to have.

26

u/Invisible_Dragon 5h ago

They posted recipes and asked (paraphrasing) "What ingredients will you add? Post your pictures." It's not that far of a stretch to assume they want you to make these cocktails, try them and decide what else to add.
