Naruto must be mad profitable. Top 3 almost every month despite being CN-exclusive

It likely makes a fraction of the revenues of Genshin as it is mobile exclusive. However, it costs practically nothing to develop. Easily the most profitable game on there.

Dokkan must be very cheap as well. That thing has been hauling since its inception.

It used to hit top grossing any odd month before the days of Genshin, now it only does so during major celebrations twice a year, Anni and the event that replaced global Anni after they synced the schedules with JP. The current event has premium units that people have been asking for for ages now, so it’s no surprise that they’re doing so well these past few weeks; Final Form Frieza got his first LR, Kid Buu got his first LR, we got a new Namek Saga Goku and Perfect Cell for the first time in ages

Tencent owns Miniclip? Welp, guess I'm never playing 8 ball pool again...

Hope you realize Tencent has shares in reddit too lol.

Hm... I don't know much about the economy, but shares doesn't mean own, right? 🤔

•

u/Reyhz 36m ago

Well they do have 6 or 7% of the voting power, which mean they do own around 10% of the shares

Lmao at Game Science. They escaped Tencent to make their own studio just to be in the grasp of Tencent again.

Owned studios not including grinding gear games is crazy. Path of exile 2 1.0 gonna be one of the biggest game releases.

If that's from 2024, I can kind of understand why GGG isn't on the list. The planned numbers for EA were way smaller than what they actually got in 0.1, and while POE 1 is steady money it's niche in the grand scheme of things.

Oh I c, yeah if it's 2024 data that makes sense, since that's before POE2. Even in early access poe2 is making a lot rn. Of course it's not a low effort game so lots of man power required and their devs prob get paid really well to keep up with NZ col so maybe for now they break even. But I expect 1.0 to be huge since it's going F2P.

Really depends on how much they have to pay japan for the ip rights as well.

I'm even surprised this game survived after the JP vs CN fiasco
