I imagine that most are brainwashed on one level or another, but those that aren’t— this must be terrifying. Don’t clap loud or fast enough? Death.

I have read that it is just that, if they are perceived to not be cheering or crying loud enough or not exuberant enough it can mean arrest and labor camps.
