Not dumb, smart, we don't want to be labeled as the office creep for misinterpreting vauge hints. I'd rather not be called only HR for harassment

Are we dumb? Or does society constantly tell us "she's just being nice"? Cause I have been explicitly told, on multiple occasions, that I should basically never assume a woman is flirting with me.
