The bullet method is way more effective

Industrial forge hammer.

From person to Jackson Pollock painting in 0.02 secs. Faster than the person can feel it.

They had this in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. The new city, Dornogal, had an industrial hammer that would squish you into a paste. It is unhealthy how much I think about that hammer

State governments can't even manage to keep the roads in good shape. I can't believe we entrust them to kill people. The blood is on all our hands.

But that hurts the feelings of losers on the internet, better pay to keep them alive for 40 years or just say fuck it they're insane and let them go

Yes, unironically it is better to pay to keep them alive. It's literally cheaper than going through with the death penalty, and considering the whole "permeance of death" thing we want the 1 in 25 people on death row who are wrongfully convicted to have a chance to appeal without the government just putting a bullet in their head.

Only losers on the internet need to live vicariously through through state-sanctioned killings to feel good about themselves.

A woman who slowly tortured her victim to death, is slowly being tortured to death..

I just looked it up to figure out why she was on death row, and my first thought was “good. fuck her!”

Yea i sometimes find nuance in some of these cases (or plausible deniability), but not this one.

She showed her cracked skull to coworkers the next day, and gloated about it.

The news about it is not covered worldwide

She was sentenced to death for a murder in the late 1900s. They tried to put her to death yesterday and she survived two lethal injections.

So I just looked up why she was on death row and turns out she is on there for a case in 95 of torturing and murdering a 19-year-old classmate. If anything she’s getting the same treatment that she gave her classmate so fuck her. We need to bring back short drops and sudden stops for public viewing

They need to go back to tried and true execution methods. Trying to "put people to sleep" like dogs is ridiculous. These botched executions happen all too often

The French came up with the least bad execution method in the 1700s. They specifically had the design intent of not allowing user error or mechanical malfunction and to not prolong suffering. Despite some anecdotes about eyes looking around and mouths moving, the shock and loss of blood would immediately stop consciousness.

Take a deep breathe and hold it. How long can you stay conscious for?

Edit: wait nevermind, the heart is still pumping blood through the brain. Still I'd give it 15 seconds of consciousness.

Or just not have the death penalty

Some states do, some don't. It's called democracy

Nah, I think the death penalty is fine, it should just have an extremely high burden of proof. There should be absolutely no doubt whatsoever and multiple different forms of evidence that the sentence is correct. Some people genuinely do not deserve to ever be free to live out their lives being a drain on the system.

All these failures with fatal injections are silly as fuck, just put them under regular anesthesia and put a bullet in the dome, it is actually genuinely more humane than messing with chemical cocktails from temu because some anti death penalty group or other harassed the local drug suppliers into submission.

10

u/SmoothOperator89 3h ago

Anti death penalty group? You mean the AMA adhering to their hippocratic oath? I agree otherwise. Executions are gruesome and trying to dress it up as a medical procedure is lying to themselves. If state-mandated murder makes a mess, then all the better to understand the weight of it.

Well reliable IV access is one of the current problems that this wouldn’t solve lol

You’re also talking about people who are more likely to have absurd drug tolerances

A lot of execution methods exist to avoid the feelings of taking a helpless life. Or to avoid the person becoming inured to it. Both of which are bad. The firing squad exists so that nobody can be certain it was the bullet they fired that ended their life.

We have machines now though. Set it up ahead of time, tie the prisoner down, and the gun goes off at a certain time if it is not stopped. Nobody actually pulls the trigger, they just don't stop it. Similar 'feel'.

Yes it makes a mess and is ugly. But executions are ugly work by their nature. So is torturing a girl to death.

1

u/Lawliet1896 2h ago

Yeah, no one should pretend they're not ugly. They should just have somebody (employed by the state) publicly shot them in the head. Take some responsibility.

u/DewPeach 4h ago

This is unhinged, but honestly they should play sulfur smells through the vents too.

She's some murdering psycho, who's gonna believe her anyway?

u/ChampionAggressive20 4h ago

Would be worth it though

u/Bannon9k 5h ago

Lol ...you think she's gonna wake up? That 'snoring' is brain damage. Same thing happens to drunks at the bar when they get knocked out and hit their head on the way down.

6

u/1inch_SubWoofer 4h ago

And none of them wake up either.
