I got a bunch of old phones from my father and thought it would be a fun weekend project to build a simple app for them.
That idea derailed completely. I ended up buying a secondhand Windows Vista laptop, installing and learning 2008/2009 era software and pushing 3D graphics on these devices as far as I could.
Here's what you see:
Phone 1: Renders a realtime, low poly model of my custom cyberdeck build.
Phone 2: Uses a 3D renderer for the plane and voxel space graphics to fake a 3D terrain. (This is probably the best realtime graphics I can squeeze out of these phones)
Phone 3: Runs a full raytracing algorithm with procedural texture generation. (By my calculations, it would take about 5 million of these phones running simultaneously to hit 60 FPS on this single frame)
Phone 4: Basically turns the phone into a PS Portal by streaming games directly from my PC.
