I’m pretty sure that’s what is happening. It’s just they aren’t “fake”, they’re instead letting him think he’s doing super serious and important things with all these random vanity projects and superficial details and monuments and whatever else, while “they” methodically and meticulously destroy our democracy from the inside out in relative peace and private as Trump’s nonsense dominates the news cycle.

I’m confident “they” love the Epstein files because it keeps everyone focused on Trump, and Trump can’t help but to consistently get bothered by it and make his own comments reigniting attention on it, keeping focus away from them.

By “they” I mean everyone else except Trump. Like the main author of Project 2025, Russel Vought, being the Director of the Office of Management and Budget, for example.

The truly religious, some of whom throw away their religion to serve Homelander, are basically garbage to him if they aren't 100% perfect in their devotion and usefulness, which eventually nobody is.

So I've heard. They gave him an office and ficticious decisions to make so that he'd stay away from anything real.

In fact I think that's not altogether uncommon. When my grandpa was in the old folks home they'd give him "jobs" to keep him out of trouble. It's best to distract instead of correct, being told they're wrong is distressing. And I'm sure it is, being told your basic perception of reality is wrong all the time would be annoying at the least.

I had a form of delirium when I was in the hospital for an operation from not being able to eat due to a complication where I started straight up hallucinating. Thought I was in different rooms, different set ups, different people, different conversations. it’s incredibly weird to hear about that stretch of time knowing I was just off in lala land but I can make sense of it now that it’s past, I can’t imagine how it would feel not understanding or being able to make sense of that so I imagine it’s very disturbing for folks with with Alzheimer’s.

In order to get this student to get on the bus, they printed out black and white photos of Lego sets that the student wanted so that he could look at it while on the bus and not throw a tantrum.

My partner is a special education teacher. She has a student with a learning disability in 1st grade who didn't want to get on the bus. In order to get this student to get on the bus, they printed out black and white photos of Lego sets that the student wanted so that he could look at it while on the bus and not throw a temper tantrum.

This won't end when he dies. Look at how people reacted to Charlie Kirk. His name and face will continue to haunt us all for as long as there are still targets for the grift. Trump himself is not the cause, he's just the most convenient smoke screen imaginable due to his need for attention and flattery and his complete lack of shame or empathy.

To be clear, I'm not saying that his demise won't be a relief and a joy, but that to be careful not to celebrate so much you let your guard down. The harmful ambitions of the wealthy and powerful won't stop at the death of one man, and they are certainly planning their next steps post-trump as well.

Pretty standard operation for any sleazy developer and a historic property. Compromise structural integrity off hours then pay the fine and say “we need to raze the building due to safety concerns”. Living in New England I’ve seen it happen over and over again. Lots of amazing historical buildings on prime lots that aren’t earning their keep.

To be clear, this isn't some "pretend headline" they're showing him to keep him happy or something. That is part of a strategy pitch. He wants the Kennedy Center demolished so he can hand out the demo and redevelopment contracts. He's using the fight over adding his name to hold the board hostage and cripple their ability to deal with their finances (which are dire because of Trump's inserting himself into the board, btw).

My guess is there will be a mysterious structural issue "caused by neglect" that gets "discovered" and they'll start knocking it down immediately "for safety" before informing the rest of the board. Then endless court cases that he'll delay forever while building some new thing that he controls completely.
