Isn't it awfully convenient that they are moving towards The White House being the only source for footage of Trump as he is becoming less and less fit for public appearances and near death? I'm sure it is just a coincidence.

Yeah if there were any at all except there are none besides the obvious lies they spew. Do they really except the press to report their lies as if it's the truth? The only good things that come out during the time of this administration were put in place by the previous administration and they just take credit for it despite it not being their accomplishment.
Honestly I don't think the press does enough to point out their lies and bullshit. The daily headlines should start with "The disastrous failed administration led by traitorous felon child rapist says..."

Here's a list that is a bit more definitive:
Note: Trump managed to bankrupt an entire football league where he only owned one team. How does one person even accomplish this?
Trump Steaks
GoTrump.com (travel search engine)
Trump Shuttle (airlines)
Trump Vodka 1.0 (Eric just mentioned that they will be firing off a second attempt soon, so get ready for shitty vodka 2.0)
Trump Mortgage
Trump Fragrances ("Success", "Empire", etc.)
Trump: The Game
Trump Magazine
Trump University (this was investigated by several states for fraud and had multiple class actions against it. The plaintiffs prevailed in their actions against Trump University and Trump personally)
Trump Ice (bottled water)
Trump Communications (Trumpnet)
Trump Boat Racing (Trump killed one racer and injured another by moving the race to Atlantic city's choppy waters in a bid to bring traffic to his failing casinos. Half the racers failed to finish)
The New Jersey Generals (he bankrupted the entire football league with this one. He then convinced the USFL to spend $1.7 billion to sue the NFL on anti-trust grounds. The USFL "won" and was awarded nominal damages of $1. Prevailing plaintiffs are awarded what is called treble damages in anti-trust cases, so the actual damages award was $3, which only makes it more hilarious. If that is a trump "win" I don't want to see his many, many losses.)
Tour de Trump
Trump Mattress
Trump Power and Trump Fire (fruit juices that never made it to production)
Trump American Pale Ale (never launched; failed before it even got started)
Trump Home ("luxury" home goods)
TD Trump Deutschland
Trump Network (this "business" sold private, in- home urine tests called 'PrivaTest', and it was supposed to help you figure out what vitamins you were missing).
Trumped!
Trump Foundation (he stole donations intended for children with cancer, and is now barred from ever operating a charity in the state of New York)
These filed for bankruptcy:
Trump Taj Mahal Associates (this was fined $500k, and later $10 million for laundering money for the Russian mob)
Trump World's Fair
Trump Castle Hotel and Casino
Trump Marina
Trump Plaza (he continually told people he owned this for years after Citibank foreclosed on it)
Trump Entertainment Resorts (twice, in 2009 and 2014)
And now, in 2026, Trump TV.

u/Competitive-Pea-9330 8d ago
I mean, a lot of well functioning democracies (or at least, relatively so) have public broadcasts. In most countries they're still the prime broadcaster and by far the most popular one. The USA is an outlier in that regard, with PBS being an afterthought in most households. There's of course a difference between a public broadcaster and state run media.

The British commonwealth national networks like bbc, abc, and cbc as well as tvnz etc are owned by the people and government funded, but they are editorially independent of the government, and that keeps them (at least in theory) independent of other interests as well. Those outlets are probably your best bet for a free press, and it’s very different from what most people mean when they say “state media”, ie regime control of content.

This isn't a surprise ...
It's not surprising the King of Narcissism doesn't realize other people have zero interest in him.
Nor is it surprising that his 30 percent (and declining) fanatic portion of the population don't have any interest in listening or watching him.
They never have.
They only voted for him because they want to burn everything down. And, rather understandably.
His "base" is not the same as his financial backers who are also not the same as his "foreign handlers".
This term he has largely shirked off the yoke of Putin -- whether for show or not remains to be seen, he still seems to support Russian Oligarch interests adequately enough. Putin's interest is destabilization and long term societal turmoil which he can exploit.
The billionaires funding his campaigns have an agenda -- authoritarianism and corporate feudalism.
None of that is a surprise.
And, it really shouldn't be a surprise why voters chose MAGA. They are people who believe a "Great Reset" will magically put them back on top of the social hierarchy AND preserve their "way of life".
The delusional thinking required to progress from legitimate social concerns about corporations offshoring manufacturing, and other valid socio-economic concerns up to believing "the libs are out to get me", requires profound biases and confabulation.
But, trumpff said it himself: the easiest way to get elected would be Conservatives ... because they're stupid.

Monday night the White House announced the launch of Trump TV to great ridicule and condemnation.
Today is Tuesday.
So they basically had some PR intern work over the weekend & yesterday probably using AI to gather & upload random year-old Trump clips to a YouTube channel/stream, and that’s what’s supposed to pass for “news from the White House” now?
It’s not “state-run tv” - it’s the same shitty juvenile half-assed incompetence we always get from this administration, destroying cherished U.S. institutions and replacing them with utter garbage.
