No Paywall Mike Johnson: Anti-God Marxist Democrats Seek to ‘Take Over Everything’ in Two or Three Election Cycles

The Republicans have had complete control of the government for 2 years and prices are up, ally relations are at their lowest, the economy sucks, and we jumped into a dumb war. You had your chance and you blew it!

u/IndecorousRex 18h ago
On the contrary I think they did everything they set out to do. They packed the courts with yes men, tax breaks for the wealthy, dismantled social programs and health subsidies. I can go on and on. The bottom line is their super PAC donors got everything they wanted. Which was to bleed the working class dry. So here we are.
497
u/Captain_Wingit 16h ago
100% correct. This is what I have been telling people as wel who stand around and talk about how bad it is and how the R's are surely going to see how bad everything is.
No, the rich donors got everything they wanted. The dismantling of our educational system going back well beyond Trumps first term is paying dividends because the uneducated are easily scared, and fear is easy to use to whip up support without evidence. So if the rich donors can buy just one more election with the midterms, they may never have to worry about an election again.
131
u/Cverellen 16h ago
Yep. This is what they (the oligarchs) wanted. MAGA have fooled themselves in believing that they are part of the mean girl group when they will be sacrificed first and quickly at the first sign or need. It’s frustrating to see people I know head towards the cliff…

So if the rich donors can buy just one more election with the midterms, they may never have to worry about an election again.
Unfortunately, we've gotten to points like this before. Ultimately, FDR made the New Deal happen by getting the wealthy to realize that compromises had to be made in order to avoid revolts.
They'll definitely keep pushing. It's just a question of whether anyone will try to get today's wealthy to realize the same things, and whether or not they'll succeed.
If Republicans get their way for too long, then the US will be looted by its enemies. We won't live in a US fascist superpower, because these people aren't competent enough to take it that far and succeed. They're just good at causing shit storms to distract from their own looting behind the scenes.
Republicans have been infiltrated by foreign agents for years. With oversight at an all time low, who knows what they're all up to right now. Every time we see some outrageous leak, I always wonder what else we're not seeing.

u/Rob_Zander 16h ago
I think the tariffs, crazy trade war bullshit and managing to lose a war with Iran are the only real sticking points. Those have hurt the rich elite too though of course only by making their profits smaller, not actually putting them in the red.
But lower taxes, installing cronies in the courts, gutting social spending and the administrative state, all part of the plan.
We haven't seen higher federal taxes since the Bush tax cuts. Over 20 years!
12
u/beardofjustice 15h ago
They got everything they ever wanted and because of it, people are starting to think socialism may be a good idea. This administration has been basically a speed run of all the lessons we’ve learned as a country over the last 250 years.

You forgot to mention that overspending to the point where the debt is unsustainable and everything stops working. They're adding $2T a year to a debt of $40T and the cost of interest on that has now become the biggest line item in the budget... and the current rise in bond interest rates has not really impacted the overall government finances yet. Fun times ahead.

Also godless "marxists" don't really give a shit what you believe as long as you're not trying to use your beliefs to oppress people. They've been crowing about this war on Christianity and how the left is going ban religion (but also somehow they're going to enact sharia law?) with nothing to show that it's remotely true (and yet oddly it keeps coming back up around election cycles), and yet their voters keep lapping it up.
Anyway, we should all be worried about this new migrant caravan. Wonder where it's been since 2024

u/Juggernox_O 17h ago
Considering their “Christian” regime already is utterly devoid of God and Christ, I will ironically see much more Christ in the godless government, thank you. Any regime that claims to remove US Aid in the name of Christ are Mammonist blasphemers.

Exactly. Republicans can't win on policy since it's essentially screwing the middle class and killing the poor. So they need to invent spooky monsters and frame it as a battle of good vs evil to get people to justify voting against their own self interest.
It's why some people getting screwed now still support them. They see it as a sacrifice worth making for the greater good.

Slow, steady escalation of intensity and frequency of use, just like any addiction. It started with talk radio, it ratcheted up with cable news, and now we can all get 24/7 infotainment at the exact level we want it, with a constant push to consume more.
They feel belittled by their circumstances, so they need to feel anger to feel pride. Constant reinforcement of that circuit has made them impossible to reason with. Just like an addict. The only way they come out of it is if they hit rock bottom and there's at least one safe exit ramp for them. If they get stuck around other junkies they fall back into it.
Treat them like addicts. You can't enable them, but you can reiterate that you're available to help them get clean when they're ready. Eventually they will be personally victimized by "their own" and they'll ask the first question that leads to asking for help.

Republicans are like the kid in class that is always acting in obnoxious fashions, then when called out for it by a teacher either say it never happened, or immediately claim the teacher is overreacting. "God it was just a joke! Relax!" Acting in bad faith is one of the worst offenses in a political system where compromise is the foundational principle.
There are really only two ways to deal with these kinds of people and those behaviors. There are no anti God Marxist Democrats. Welcoming people from all religious backgrounds and none is what a political party is supposed to do as it is not a church. No reasonable person wants the vicious and bloodthirsty , misogynistic, and xenophobic God of the Republicans that finds ot okay to harass other countries as part of their life. They don't want your self righteous and judgmental Pharisee ( of the wrong type of Pharisees as there were good ones) and Sadducee God that winks at dictators and thinks it is okay for them to commit homicide and theft as part of their lives. That's not anti God, it is merely moral and mentally healthy, and no one asked for arrogant members of the government to comment on their religious lives or judge them. Keep your self righteous and presumptuous judgements to yourself and do your secular job in the government.

And that’s why the GOP supports a pedophile president who’s never walked into a church!

Some people have read what Jesus said in the book of Matthew. Things like, love your neighbor, feed the hungry, heal the sick, and welcome the refugee.
Mike Johnson does not seem to have read that book.

You’re goddamn right Mike!
The irony being, of course, if Christianity even continues to exist after the next generation or two it’ll be because liberals continued to fight for religious freedom. These stupid fucks don’t realize separation of church and state protects them too.

Just because we don’t worship predator Trump like you do? You are worshipping a disgusting man who is antithetical to everything Christ stood for. Hypocrite, Money changer and Pharisee. That is mikes legacy

Every accusation is a confession. The GOP is poised to continue their takeover of everything if voters don't stop them.

And what I was going to say is that the most dangerous candidate for Congress right now isn't the person waving that flag. It's the Democrat running as a so-called moderate. When we know very well that that moderate Democrat wing is not going to exist anymore. They’ll have no power because the energy, the excitement, the grassroots, is on the side of the insurgent left. And they will move that party off the cliff. That’s what’s gonna happen.
You mean exactly what happened on the right? Karl Rove is decrying the literal Nazis in his party, for fuck’s sake. Your side’s crazies are already in charge, and now you’re afraid moderate Democrats will actually start overtaking America.
Cry about it, Johnson.

They’ll say and do anything they can to avoid prosecution for the many, many, crimes they’ve committed against our nation (and others) during their tenure.

This is literally what MAGAs did. They took over state governments, social media, television media. That allowed them to gerrymander for national elections (Congress) and control the messaging. Once they controlled Congress they took over the Supreme Court. And they are willing to use violence and corruption to stay in power.

Just once I'd like to see a journalist ask them on the spot to define Marxism, communism and socialism.
Guarantee that the majority of these morons have no idea what any of it actually means.

Well Mike, maybe if you didn't suck so much we wouldn't have to drag your constituents out of the shithole and give them healthcare and an education.

That's how politics should work: the parties with better policies get more votes and get into power.

Thank god. If we’re going to live in an inflationary nightmare, I’ll sleep better knowing we have the specter of hope for policies that actually help the American people and not the 1%.
Republicans right now epitomize the saying, “ A hit dog will holler.”

The hardest of projections. Republicans want to turn America into Gilead.

Desperate nonsense and lying from a guy whose group claims to have the monopoly on what is being Holy. Not really sure lying your ass off is what Jesus would do.

From your lips to "Anti-God"'s ear.

How do people eat this drivel up? And no one glazes our incompetent and feckless Democrats better than Republicans.

Oh shut the up Mike. His party has taken everything over to ruin everything.
But hey, this is one time I wish he was right. Since I know "anti-god Marxist democrats" he actually means "people that might restore lost rights, restore the social safety net, and maybe get us some universal healthcare". I would pray to his god for that to be true. Please take over in two or three. I'm literally begging

God himself would prefer hanging out with an anti-god marxist way more than you, Mike.
