Possible Paywall DOJ Prepares to Investigate Nearly Every Federal Judge in Blue State
https://newrepublic.com/post/216043/doj-prepares-investigate-nearly-every-federal-judge-blue-state•
u/Hafiz_TNR ✔ Verified 6h ago
The Justice Department has filed a misconduct complaint against almost every district judge in Minnesota.
•
u/supercyberlurker 6h ago
Trumps Personal Lawyer has filed..
•
u/kolby924 6h ago
He certainly must be making lots of
Money .. after Trump is out. He is Toast!•
u/Solinty 5h ago
Trump himself doesn't pay his contractors and he's not a senator, so how would he get paid...
•
u/New_Cardiologist_596 5h ago
Prob with the tax dollars that have been stolen or with all the insider trading money.
•
•
•
•
u/Green_Instruct 6h ago
Huge waste of resources especially if one of them happens to be in the epstein files.
•
•
•
u/Best-camera4990 6h ago
another huge waste of resources. investigate republicans instead
•
u/Top-Difficulty5202 5h ago
They know it is coming so they are doing what they can. I hope to see them all arrested and locked up. Criminals and traitors, every single one.
•
•
u/chaos0xomega 5h ago
I feel like this could be dangerous. Sweep up every "opposition" judge in a bullshit investigation, hit them with fraudulent charges and bs indictments... who tries the cases? The only judges who wont have to recuse themselves as the subject of related investigations/litigations are the hand-picked judges who arent being investigated.
Likewise any litigation brought against the government will require those judges to either recise themselves or will have change of venue appeals filed on the same basis and any judgement rendered against the govt will be appealed on retaliatory grounds.
•
u/Xenuite 3h ago
For the most part, Trump judges aren't idiots. They know how dangerous this would be turned around on them.
•
u/chaos0xomega 2h ago
Coups are always dangerous, it doesnt stop people from attempting them. If youre participating in a coup like this, youre banking on the calculus of success and that the political landscape will be changed permanently afterwards to prevent it from being turned against you.
•
u/Xenuite 2h ago
That's why I don't think they'll participate. I don't think they see that endgame coming.
•
u/chaos0xomega 2h ago
They dont even really have to particopate for it to be beneficial to Trump and co. Just the paralysis in the legal system that will occur when half your judges and courtrooms are forced to recuse and cases have to change venue is an advantage to the admin in and of itself.
•
•
u/drmtm101214 5h ago
He won't do that unless they turn on him. That's why they continue to support him im sure he's told them they're safe as long as they bow
•
•
u/Adventurous-Ant-5755 5h ago
They're getting rid of military leadership who don't align with them, and then they're going to challenge the election results.
WE ARE WITNESSING A COUP ATTEMPT!!!
•
u/Six_Six_Six_Is_r3d3t 5h ago edited 5h ago
It's really insane. Americans are the most heavily armed people in the world, and the military would fracture in some way in the face of a coup.
America would instantly collapse into Haiti if they tried it.
The electrical grid has no defense. Our military assets are only really 'protected' because they're on American soil surrounded by Americans who don't want to destroy those assets. If we had a civil war I would be surprised if there was a flying airframe left after a week.
•
u/monkeypan 3h ago
It's Hitler's playback to his rise of power into a Dictator. Like he is following it step by step the best he can. History was repeated itself.
•
u/satinsandpaper 4h ago
The coup is done. There's already no apparatus of the government free of his control. It's not an attempt - it's solidifying the coup that has already happened.
We are never seeing another Dem president, and we are never seeing another Dem majority senate. Whatever comes after this will be more radical a reconstruction than the post-civil war era.
•
u/BigPlunk 4h ago
Yes you are. Now what are Americans going to do when the coup inevitably happens?
•
u/Adventurous-Ant-5755 1h ago
Nothing... What do you think we can do? LOL
Ask yourself what you could do. That's the answer.
•
u/itsdarrellnotdarrell 4h ago
Obviously point the guns at each other because one trans girl wants to play volleyball, and if a coup is required to prevent that then so be it.
•
u/Cicerothesage Florida 6h ago
What was that from MAGA of weaponizing the government? As always, it is always projection
•
u/viktor72 Indiana 2h ago
Sen. Schmitt said in the Jack Smith hearing that no one has ever weaponized the DOJ as much as Biden. How he can say this shit with a straight face amazes me.
•
u/Ligma_baws_2x 6h ago
The DOJ is batting under the Mendoza line since Trump started his revenge tour.
•
u/Orange_Kid 6h ago
By the time all is said and done, they may be batting under the Orange_Kid line, which is what my MLB batting average would be.
•
u/reject_fascism New Jersey 4h ago
Why did we stop calling them Nazis again? This is hardcore nazi behavior
•
u/bbills91 4h ago
We didn't, the "media" never has, they just made everything the GOP does sound almost normal.
•
u/ImmaNotHere 5h ago
Remember when Trump argued that Dems like to weaponize the government against him? Pepperidge Farm does.
•
u/stealingmoney 6h ago
Is it possible to fire the doj after the midterms?. Takes an act of Congress but if Democrats win both houses ..
Housekeeping is sorely needed
•
u/Significant_Cup_238 5h ago
Impeachment and removal. So they will need 2/3rds of the Senate.
•
u/Bakedads 5h ago
Which means it's impossible. Literally everything of substance that we need to get done is impossible because it requires either 2/3 or 3/4 vote. If it is literally impossible to do what needs to be done, wouldn't you conclude that your government is fundamentally broken? Yet everyone here is all "Vote blue", as though voting will accomplish anything beyond delaying the inevitable republican clusterfuck. Maybe we should be doing more at this point. Maybe we should be fighting for an actual democracy.
•
u/wolfpack_minfig 4h ago
you do realize that if the vote threshold for substantial Congressional actions was lower, it would be Republicans who would be making use of it, not Democrats, right? If impeachment only took a majority vote, they'd impeach every single Democrat the second they took office.
•
u/Under_Milkwood_1969 5h ago
I’m assuming that rules for impeachment still hold; majority in the House and then 60+ in the Senate.
Which makes it extremely unlikely to happen in practice.
Trump could fire Blanche, but as he’s successfully sabotaging any investigation into the Epstein files, that is never going to happen!•
u/BasicPhysiology 5h ago
Conviction in the senate requires 2/3. So 67 votes to convict. It is an impossibly high bar in the current political landscape.
•
u/Tricky-Engineering59 5h ago
Or really any political landscape in the history of this country. Proof enough that setting removal at 67 votes was a mistake from the start.
•
u/tweakingforjesus 4h ago
We are going to have to completely dismantle the DHS and rebuild the DoJ. Also the military leadership will need to be cleaned out of incompetent sycophants. And that's just the most pressing concerns.
•
u/SweetVioleett 5h ago
Right, You cannot investigate judges for doing their jobs. Time to clean house.
•
u/spendmoreondisinfo 2h ago
Only difficult if its the dems doing it. Republicans in power can do whatever they want
•
•
•
u/ThinkRationally 5h ago
While at the same time, they accuse Jack Smith and the Biden administration of "lawfare." This is a sickness.
•
u/HorrorAir4474 4h ago
Remember, these judges they are investigating are well rounded and smarter than these DOJ folk. I can see these judges getting together and suing or something, idk what they can do, im not a lawyer or judge.
•
•
u/LividTacos 6h ago
Vote blue, so we can do that to every district judge in Texas.
•
u/Bakedads 5h ago
You're dreaming if you think democrats have any intention of holding republicans accountable. I guarantee you if a dem wins it will be time for forgiveness and to reach across the aisle. Heck, democrats are still running on bipartisanship as a winning message. That shows you how far gone they are. They genuinely want to continue working with republicans.
•
u/Chefalo 5h ago
Which Dems are running on bipartisanship? Your entire comment history is just ragging on the democrats and blaming them for Trump, it’s unhinged
•
•
u/No_Oven1085 4h ago edited 4h ago
The establish all does it. Pelosi said we need a strong Republican party. Kamala campaigned with Liz Cheney. Obama said "look forward as opposed to looking backward" on Bush war crimes. Stop pretending they don't do this.
•
u/Careful_Trifle 5h ago
I think they were saying flip Texas so that it is a "blue state' and will get added to the list of politically motivated investigations.
Still won't work, but I think their comment was more tongue in cheek rather than serious policy proposal.
•
u/Exotic-Ferret-3452 5h ago
The moment one of their 'friends from across the aisle' cries fraud in the next midterms or presidential election, they will immediately concede in the name of 'healing' and 'national unity'. Their donors will keep on funneling them their money.
•
u/No_Oven1085 4h ago
Yep, we voted blue in 2019 and Dems did nothing to prevent any of this. They had full power, and let the leader of the January 6 insurrection go. There was no, and is no, plan to fight any of this. Dems are controlled opposition.
We should have voted in progressives but nobody listened.
•
u/stealingmoney 4h ago
Hardly. Every time Democrats get into power they never do anything. What's going to change this time?
•
u/gymleader_michael 28m ago
If Trump wasn't voted back in, wouldn't at least some of the Jan.6 rioters be in prison?
•
•
u/HoneyDippinDan 4h ago
These judges talked about open case in a way the DOJ didn't approve of? You mean just like when the Department of Homeland Security declared two US citizens to be terrorists within minutes of ICE shooting them dead and absolutely no investigations had been done?
•
u/LittleYelloDifferent 6h ago
Can’t wait to hear “let’s all get along, when they go low we go high”. I mean I hope there’s Nuremberg style trials but I think it’ll be just bizness as uuush
•
u/SweetVioleett 5h ago
The DOJ is going after almost every federal judge in Minnesota because they talked to the press about the government ignoring their orders, Only a fool thinks it’s an oversight.
•
u/phixitup 5h ago
So is this an intentional attempt at intimidating the court? Based on what was said to the Times, it sure looks like it. Surely they can’t be that evil AND naive. They can’t be that insulated in their racist bubble to actually believe that it is improper for judges to NOT be racists,… like themselves, …can they?
•
u/Legitimate-Garlic959 5h ago
On what grounds ? Vibes ?
•
u/No_Oven1085 4h ago
Well they went to a Hawkeyes basketball game, which proves they were colluding with Fani Willis. Or something. Look, the point is you've perjured yourself.
•
u/Impossible_Box_1266 5h ago
They must make the purge complete so ALL federal courts will bend to the illegal whims of this administration.
•
u/NerdySongwriter 5h ago
And, of course, they complained that Jack Smith was weaponizing the government (he wasn't). Nothing but BS from these abusers.
•
•
u/Cesspoolofhumanity69 5h ago
There is honestly no reason we couldn’t get a supermajority in both houses and clean this mess up. Hamstring everything they try.
•
u/whatafuckinusername 4h ago edited 2h ago
lol since 1/20/25 this administration has barely had a legal leg to stand on regarding anything and the federal judiciary has made that clear many times. Let them do it, we’ll see how little comes of it.
•
u/captaincanada84 Canada 3h ago
Trump's personal defense lawyer doing personal defense lawyer things
•
u/necro316 3h ago
If power is ever ceded to Democrats they really need to punish these evil treasonous fucks
•
•
•
u/cathercules 6h ago
Dems need to take notes and bring the same energy when they are back in the White House, investigate every Republican judge starting with the Supreme Court.
•
•
•
u/Belichick12 5h ago
This is an interesting precedent to establish. I’m sure Cali Colombia born Aileen Cannon will love this!
•
•
u/chaos0xomega 5h ago

Americans listen up- don't accept this. Vote these people and their enablers out! They have been emboldened by the complacency of the voters and if that continues then it's going to be get much, much worse. They are trying to eliminate all checks against their power on purpose for a reason that is not good for the rest of us
•
u/TheShipEliza 4h ago
Cant wait to see the gang that cant shoot straight try to indict a federal judge who was appointed in the Bush admin. Good luck!
•
u/Dra-goonn 3h ago
It's a Fishing trip. They looking for corrupt people since Con Judges are corrupt, Liberal ones must also be corrupt.
•
•
u/ptowndeluxe 2h ago
This is not political. We think all liberal state judges are corrupt and that red state judges are not, no politics, really, it's not political.
•
u/IonDaPrizee 3h ago
Why don’t democrats do this when they are in power?
This is literally what’s bringing america down. The amount of power the (corrupt) judges hold over the people is insane.
The red states just sued blue states because the blue states are giving more rights to women.
•
u/LoutAboutTown 1h ago
because Democrats don't want to win, they want to govern effectively.
and partisan purges of the judiciary are exactly the opposite of effective government.
•
•
•
u/Eggheadpancake 5h ago
Really hope all of this boomerang's right back at them. Except when it's their turn we will actually see laws that were broken
•
•
•
•
u/PrincessLeafa 3h ago
Fascists gonna "investigate" anyone who doesn't suck their boots. Yeah no surprise there.
•
u/GermanMuffin California 3h ago
They would investigate the judges in Red states but they don’t have a fraction of the manpower needed
•
u/Crombus_ 2h ago
And with Blanche's stellar track record of delivering results I'm sure they'll find tons of malfeasance /s
•
•
u/petit_cochon 1h ago
Good luck with that. Judges are quite free to discuss judicial matters in this way.
•
u/RazzmatazzSuch7459 1h ago
I don’t mind audits, but they should be blind to prevent any kind of bias. Hell, I think this should be a constant, committee level thing And should include every level of federal judge. I imagine Aileen Cannon and a few of our Supreme Justices would have some questionable conflicts.
•
u/GuitarGeezer 33m ago
Republican local yokels on Facebook are calling for nuclear strikes on blue cities. Nevermind the conservatives also living there. Kil all kil all, god will know his own. Guy doubled down, too. Normal stuff in my shithole state.
