No Paywall 'Should Terrify Us All': Critics Malign Elon Musk's Return To Trump Administration

Create a fake job to get him back in JUST in time to manipulate elections!
•
u/Mr-Meow-Sir 5h ago
Part of me hopes they try to use AI and fuck it up so that it's just 100% votes for Republican causing it to be irrefutably obviously they cheated, and musk gets tossed in prison.
•
u/loco_canadian 5h ago
It's so cute people still think there's accountability, even when the criminality is glaringly obvious.
Reminds me of a simpler time.
•
u/AnAncientBog 5h ago
You realize that this is what the elections look like in most dictatorships and no one gets thrown in prison for it, right? Whose going to throw him in prison when the people he helped are the ones that got 100% of the vote?
We are WAY past the point where the takeover happens in secret, that already happened.
•
u/MiamiVicePurple Canada 3h ago
If Republicans win with 100% of the votes are you seriously just going to accept it? That's probably a good time to start opposing your tyrannical government.
•
u/AnAncientBog 3h ago
I didn't accept it when they won with 49% of the votes. Why did you?
•
u/ShutterBug545 3h ago
He has Canada under his name so I don’t think there was anything he could do except accept it
•
u/MiamiVicePurple Canada 2h ago
You may have missed my flair. Not my monkeys, not my circus.
I think the past election was rigged but that is just speculation. 100% of the votes going to republicans wouldn’t be speculation. And I hope every decent American would be in the streets protesting the very next day.
•
u/AnAncientBog 2h ago
In fairness, it probably IS going to be your problem before its anyone else's.
•
u/oneeyed-wonderweasel 56m ago
'Not my monkeys, not my circus'
"Fuck you, I got mine"
Maintaining this attitude makes you a colossal piece of shit lol
•
u/MiamiVicePurple Canada 49m ago
I’m not an American, there’s very little I can do. It’s up to you to help fix your own country.
•
•
u/Mandatum11 1h ago
You really can’t say crazy shit like this.
Donald Trump won in 2024 in a fair election because our country is full of morons.
He also is not above cheating to win an election, and should be resisted against if there is provable cheating (well, he should be resisted in general but I mean in terms of accepting electoral outcomes)
You’re no better than MAGA if you are gonna go into election denial. The results matched the polling.
•
u/AnAncientBog 1h ago
I wasn't talking about 2024. Most of us didn't need a whole Trump presidency to know he was full of shit. But yeah, be sure to stamp out anyone pointing out how absurd this shit is, that is really helping fuckwit.
•
u/IronicStrikes 2h ago
The good time was a couple years ago. It's gone now.
•
u/MiamiVicePurple Canada 2h ago
Yea definitely, but a slow takeover is far harder for people to accept.
It should have happened when Trump wasn't punished for Jan 6th.
•
u/Mysterious-Action202 11m ago
That was Jan 20 '25 when the guy that instigated an insurrection took office.
•
u/Penguinmanereikel New York 1h ago
Any attempt to oppose them effectively will lead to them shooting you dead.
Any attempt to oppose them safety will not lead to any change.
You can't oppose them.
There is no solution to saving the country in this situation. The only option left is for millions of people to pool their resources together and organize a mass exodus out of the country to anywhere willing to accept us as political refugees.
•
u/RynoBud 4h ago
Omfg shut up with your defeatism. It literally does 0 to help anyone but your fragile ego.
•
u/Preaddly 4h ago
TBF no one was thrown in prison when all that money was found in tax havens in Panama.
Someone like Musk would have to be tried at The Hague. The American court system literally wouldn't be able to do it justice.
•
u/Silent-Act191 4h ago edited 4h ago
Sorry, but everyone outside the US is sick and fucking tired of waiting for the US electorate to do the right thing for once.
Edit: Block me like the coward you are. You're probably an expert when it comes to being quiet outside of social media if you can't even handle a person calling you out.
•
u/RynoBud 4h ago
If you’re outside the us maybe you should be quiet?
You’re not helping obviously, just shouting unhelpful shit from the sideline. See ya.
Edit: also you act like we aren’t sick of it, lol just be quiet.
•
u/Burnt_and_Blistered 3h ago
Nah, it doesn’t work that way. We—the U.S.—is profoundly impacting the world. Their opinions matter.
•
u/Swekyde 3h ago
The person you replied to is why trust of the US isn't coming back when Trump leaves. People with their attitude despite their influence on the world will still be around.
•
u/XlXDaltonXlX 1h ago
They aren't new though, they were around before as well. trust in the US can come back if we actually clean house afterwards, which Im not holding my breath about but I'll be happily wrong if we do.
Guys like that exist in every country and are just as unhelpful as sideline shouters because they are also on the sideline just too stupid to know it.
•
u/climb_my_vine 3h ago
Why should anyone care YOU are tired? 🙄
•
u/Mipha_Is_My_Waifu 41m ago

•
u/AINonsense 4h ago
Get the non-voters, the ‘protest’ voters, the ‘send-a-message (from the couch)’ voters and the waverers out and into the polling booths. Get them to vote early.
•
u/coconutpiecrust 4h ago
I think normie people in the US really need to come to Jesus and realize their current state of affairs.
•
u/TheRealBittoman 4h ago
They came to Jesus and then turned around and told us Jesus didn't like brown people. And here we are. I'm sure you meant that figuratively but I couldn't help make that comparison.
•
u/coconutpiecrust 4h ago
My point was that optimism alone is not going to solve anything.
•
u/TheRealBittoman 3h ago
I absolutely agree. My comment was more of a throwaway that I meant to call out the irony of the party in question and their favorite things to tell everyone they are but frequently prove they aren't. Definitely not meant as criticism of yours.
•
u/From_Graves 4h ago
These "normie" people who voted for this shit, agreed with pedophiles, rapists, murderers and would rather blow a load of Jesus into Mary
•
u/coconutpiecrust 4h ago
Yes, so optimism alone won’t fix this.
•
u/RynoBud 4h ago
0 optimism doesn’t help us either ya chode

u/From_Graves 4h ago
Well they aren't coming to a middle eastern socialist , refugee Jesus , they like their Jesus white, conservative and oppressive

You live in a fantasy world and that's why you didn't do shit to stop this from happening.
Keep fiddling on the Titanic genius, I'm getting in the raft.
•
u/RynoBud 4h ago
You’re a fucking idiot lol
•
u/AnAncientBog 3h ago
You currently have a president that said he didn't need anyone to vote for him before the last election, won, and then told you that he cheated, and you didn't do fuck all about it. Why do you think that is going to change?
•
u/Kyrthis 3h ago
America’s soul is not that far gone yet. Even the 37% that are MAGA is down to 30% these days: they’ve lost 1/6th of their bundle.
Gas prices broke them. The obvious consequence of the obviously stupid thing (attacking Iran), made even worse by their lame excuse (denuclearization) having been accomplished better by the black man they hate.
•
u/AnAncientBog 3h ago
They stopped needing votes in 2024. What is most amusing is that their chosen leader is so fucking stupid that he straight up told you this BEFORE the election and THEN told you that they cheated after the election and you still didn't do shit about it. Why would that change next time?
•
u/eetsumkaus 2h ago
2024 results were pretty much smack dab in the middle of statistical projections so if they cheated, it couldn't have mattered much. More importantly, no one had polls accurate enough to figure out where to target cheating such that it doesn't show up in the statistics.
•
u/Penguinmanereikel New York 1h ago
If they didn't need votes, why would they suppress voting so hard?
•
u/AnAncientBog 1h ago
Because they don't need votes. What part of this is hard for you to understand? They are suppressing voting for the same reason i brush my teeth. I want cavities as much as they want legal votes.
•
u/Willinton06 4h ago
Yeah and those dictatorships are not the US, this place will react in a very different manner to that
•
u/AnAncientBog 3h ago
You remember when he already told you that he cheated and it didn't fucking matter at all?
•
u/Willinton06 3h ago
Yes I recall, very well, but you see, he did a convincing enough job to cover it up for a big enough part of the country, if you are a dictator but keep enough people happy, everything keeps going, the moment that drops, which for Trump was when he invaded Iran, then you’ll be punished hard on the next elections
•
u/AnAncientBog 3h ago
Dude got like a million people killed during COVID and it didn't matter, there is no amount of Iranians that he could kill that will make a difference.
•
u/Willinton06 2h ago
Of course the Iranians don’t matter for this, I’m talking about the gas prices that increased because of the Iran war
•
u/Pandasaref1ne 4h ago
We will see.
•
u/Willinton06 3h ago
As someone from one of those countries, I don’t see the US falling for that one
•
•
u/VikingsLad 23m ago
The problem is that the big good guy who would throw Musk in prison doesn't exist. In a sane world that would be the DOJ, but that's currently run by trumps literal personal defense attorney.
•
•
•
•
u/Even_Trifle9341 10m ago
I’m hoping ai keeps it honest, like the whitehouse one saying who lost 2020. So they’ll have to come out after the election arguing their illegally deployed ai is the reason they are crushed.
•
u/AwesomeNinja77 3h ago
Yup. Brought him in with DOGE to absorb the blame for all the anti-american actions DOGE took. Kicked him out with a finger waggle to complete the separation. Just like Bannon has suggested at times, engineer scapegoats to dissipate ill will or at least deflect it from trump.
Now bringing him back for more plausibly deniable nastiness. Maybe stealing votes by hacking machines
Maybe coordinating the mass disenfranchisement they've planned with the help of all the data DOGE stole. Got him in the Pentagon because they'll need the military to push the steal through or handle the aftermath.
Pure speculation of course, but having their engineered scapegoat back on the scene while Hegseth further purges our military is probably not good news.
•
u/Jay_Nova1 2h ago
My fascist bingo card has federally mandated checkpoints around blue polling locations during voting days.
•
u/seaurchinthenet 3h ago
Don't forget putting the military contractor in charge of deciding the future of the military. Remember the last time when all of a sudden Musk's companies got big fat government contracts....
Thankfully things got halted when they were caught out but this continues to be a MASSIVE conflict of interest.
•
u/BubblesAndSass 2h ago
This is about the military, and while Trump certainly wants to interfere with our elections, this is a very different, very dangerous initiative. Anduril, Gingrich and Musk do not care about rules of engagement or LOAC. And I know all you armchair military experts will retort blithely that "it's not like we follow those now" but you are wrong. We absolutely do. You do not want the military making drones with autonomous kill capability, which Trump is trying to allow via NSPM-11 (National Security Presidential Memorandum).
Stop making jokes about the election, this is fucking dangerous.
•
u/TWVer The Netherlands 30m ago
To Trump, Hegseth, et al, the US Military should be used against threats that are both foreign ánd domestic, which will include “Antifa”; anything that does not conform with Project2025 or either Trumpist beliefs and protesting this government’s policy and actions.
The last year there already has been a large push to ban protests against ICE and charge protesters with terrorist actions.
•
u/Mandatum11 1h ago
I mean, I’d say the election is far more serious than whatever drones the military is making.
•
u/BubblesAndSass 1h ago
This is not news about anything related to the election. And you're choosing to make this about the election instead of the very real threat I described to you.
And agree to disagree on that. They are talking about drones with weapons that can cost to shoot and kill whatever they want. Missiles that choose their own targets. I'm not fear mongering or exaggerating. Wake the fuck up.
•
u/Bonk_No_Horni 2h ago
People still adore this shithead? Feels like it's gonna hurt more than it helps
•

Musk by all accounts is a mass murderer.
Remember as of June 2026 because Musk shutdown USAID he is at least responsible for the deaths of over 600,000 people who would have otherwise been alive from the funding USAID gave in the form of medication/food/shelter. Every university/organization that has studied the closing USAID agree the number is at least 600,000
Musk’s Tesla stock is going back to an all time high. DOGE removed all the investigations by all the federal agencies, he has gotten over $80 billion in new government contracts. Using taxpayer dollars he is nearing over 10,000 low orbit satellites. He is nearing his goal of owning his own U.S. based ISP with the partnership with TMobile. He is close to having the government reverse the over 40 billion in funds allocated to states for expansion of fiber optic and instead go to his expansion of starlink and more importantly Starshield (Starlink for the military) which has its own issues because of its accessibility through Starlink terminals which isn’t a flaw but purposely set up that way
He is sadly doing better than ever
•
u/Responsible_CDN_Duck Canada 3h ago
The difference between the parties seems to be how openly it's done and where the wealth comes from.

It’s almost midterms and Trump needs Elon to work the voting machines again. Duh

u/Aware_Cheesecake_519 America 5h ago
Elon Musk's return is a failure.
•
u/NexusNickel Colorado 5h ago
DOGE wasn't a failure.
He got what he wanted.
All investigations into his companies erased and gone.
He got everyone's personal information and sold it to the highest bidder. Whatever information the government server had on it, is now with Elon and his friends he sold it to.
•
u/AceofKnaves44 District Of Columbia 5h ago
To anyone else DOGE would be a failure. Elon got embarrassed constantly. All you heard was how annoying everyone found him to be around and how nobody liked him. He FAILED spectacularly at what he said the goal was to do in getting rid of the deficit. Tesla stocks plummeted along with his other companies. He randomly had a black eye in the Oval Office. He was obviously high there multiple times. Trump made fun of him for how he dresses. He threw up a Nazi salute twice on live tv. And then it all ended with him getting into a twitter fight with the president where he had to be a bitch and back down. But it didn’t matter. Because he got all of our personal information and he made money off it.
Edit: oh yeah. And he also personally has the blood of hundreds of thousands of innocent people on his hands.
•
u/SuggestionMedical736 The Netherlands 4h ago
It's kind of funny how he was sleepwalking his way into a legacy close to Tesla's. All he had to do was shut the fuck up, be rich, and enjoy life.

•
u/SamtheCossack 4h ago
The commission as announced is Musk, Newt Ginrich, and the Founder of Anduril.
You know, three people who have never been anywhere fucking near combat or military service, and have collectively managed to be wrong about damn near everything that has happened in the previous 4 decades.
Well, technically Palmer Luckey hasn't been wrong about things for four decades, since he has only been alive for barely three, but still.

Elon Musk is back in the US Government just in time for the midterms!
•
•
u/everything_is_bad 4h ago
If you want to fight Elon musk , then you have to make it entirely socially unacceptable to drive a Tesla or have one at all. The only way to do that it to enforce social consequences and ostracize Tesla drivers.
Consider statements:
- I’m not going to ride with you, I wouldn’t want to be seen in a Tesla.
- If you’re coming over could you park around the corner. I wouldn’t want my neighbors to think I was cool with tesla.
- I’d never sleep with someone who drove a tesla it’s a huge red flag
It’ll will take more than just not buying them to stop people from buying them. People with moral objections to musk already haven’t been buying him since he:
- Ran the original inventor who’s passion product became Tesla out of the company
- Nurtured a hostile and racist work environment for which he was sued
- Over promised and under delivered on their product just straight up lying about features
- Sexually assaulted his employees.
- Publicly humiliated and shamed his children
- Threw a tantrum calling a hero a pedofile because he had the audacity to point out his sub was bs.
- Started a hyperloop con to derail public transport.
- Bought twitter to boost hate speech.
- Gave public and financial support to Neo Nazis around the world
- Littered the night sky with trash.
- Helped trumps fascist regime come to power with money and electoral malfeasance.
- Destroyed national institutions and stole data with doge all while mocking the American people with props.
- Flashed a Nazi salute and lied about it as though it were not already obvious what he was about.
If you wanna stop him. Focus on the people who support him.
Remember Tesla drivers:
- 97%. Own their own home
- Have an average salary of $144,000
- 90% of ev owners have more than one car.
So don’t believe the strawman about poor Tesla drivers stuck with no option but to keep flying musks Nazi flag.
Besides even if you got your swastika tattoo before you knew about the holocaust. If you refuse to cover it, you are in fact making a statement. And we should hold you accountable.
If you think that we should be boycotting a different company show me definitive proof that they have done “all” of what Elon has “and” also shut the hell up
•
u/warmfuzzume 2h ago
How about instead of blaming people who bought his cars we divest from buying stock in his companies?
Also boycott X, starlink, every single product he touches.
We give him his power and platform, we can take it away.
•
u/everything_is_bad 2h ago
There is no path forward without recognizing that the people doing business with him working for him and sporting his various brands are responsible for his actions because they are the ones giving him power. But yes divest especially because once no one will do business with him the stock price will crash and if it doesn’t his stock manipulation scheme will become apparent and then he’ll go to jail and his stock will crash
•
u/warmfuzzume 2h ago
Yes agreed but we need to recognize it’s way more than just Tesla owners.

•
u/relevantelephant00 3h ago
Driving around the Bay Area, I still see tons of new Teslas. There hasnt been enough public shaming.
•
u/everything_is_bad 3h ago
Social pressure is the only way. When they convinced us not to do that, that’s when the losing started
•
u/DontRageM8 11m ago
I mean, the majority of us are trying to get the best car we can afford. I'm not a fan of Elon, but at its price the Model 3 is still the most efficient EV out there, and the Supercharger network is genuinely the most reliable way to road trip an EV right now which is why I bought one recently.
Shaming random drivers in parking lots doesn't touch Elon’s net worth or influence. What actually does is regulation, policy, and competitors building EVs that beat Tesla on price, range, and charging.
•
u/Pacifist_Socialist 3h ago
Now apply that logic to every major US company that is also complicit in the various global genocides etc
It's not going to work without an entirely different economy.
•
u/everything_is_bad 2h ago
Nope if you read what I said you’d know none of that is as bad and frankly it isn’t the issue.

•
•
u/mst2k17 3h ago
<sighs>
I have a friend who bought a Tesla. I bought a different EV. My friend hates Elon, and sees him for what he is.
Sometime in the last year or two, his Tesla was vandalized and someone stole a backpack out of his car.
Would you say this was a good thing to have happened? Is it going to get him to sell his car and get a new one? Did it help the cause?
The majority of Tesla owners before Elon unmasked were Democrats and liberals who wanted to jump on the EV train. Maybe, now, that percentage is changing (I think most cybertruck drivers are probably MAGA).
I honestly think you'd have better luck forming a trolling group to follow Elon around and make fun of him. Targeting all Tesla drivers is a lot of friendly fire, and I don't see the campaign being successful the way you think it would be, aka closing Tesla down and ruining Elon.
•
u/everything_is_bad 2h ago
I’m not encouraging violence or vandalism. But I also have no sympathy for your friend. Whatever they believe, whatever they think , what they are doing is advertising that complacency in the face of fascism is okay. So what’s healthy for society is for society to reject your friend. The problem is as much the people who support musk as it is musk himself. You’re friend shouldn’t get a pass

Dear God, please save us from the trifecta of stupid that the drunk moron has forced upon us.

Let's not forget how odious and obnoxious that this guy is to the average person, so much that he probably tanked the WI Supreme Court judge race and was let go shorty after.

how they gonna invite elon back after he publicly called Trump a pedo? I mean, in this one instance I agree with elon, but then, I'm not in the admin.

Don't be stupid people. This is simply to get Elon back in the mix so he can rig the midterms.

Did this guy not accuse Trump of being a pedophile when he left last time? Just gonna forget about all that? It's all water on the bridge to Elon now? Never mattered at all?

Proof that Trump has Alzheimer’s, because normally he holds a grudge. But he’s perfectly fine having JD Vance and Elon Musk around him like he completely forgot all of the stuff they said about him.

The first time was so bad Elon said he'd never do politics again. It hurt Tesla way too much. This time around isn't going to be any better.

You want his empire to collapse you just need to impress on your congressmen you want them to stop subsidizing his businesses. You want them to go after his illegal election interference. You want them to go after his illegal actions as head of DOGE. You have to hold your politicians accountable.
