Prison?

Even if they hadn't disbanded the unit that investigates this stuff, there's no prosecutors to take the case to court, so no.

Of course, she’s a Republican.
In America, the Republican Party is above the law. They are the most powerful crime family in our nation’s history.

FBI isn't doing shit under Patel. They ever find that missing old lady, mother of that news anchor? No? They ever find out who was paying Epstein? No.
What do they even do over there? Besides spending all day managing Patel's ego and manufacturing crimes to pin on Donald Trump's enemies.
This dumb old lady is a bribe-taking criminal masquerading as a "concerned" public rep, and she'll vote however the party wants because they have serious blackmail on her.
The Trump Administration is a Russian crime syndicate making America a shithole country.

$7.4 million in dark money is a lot to have flowing into one reelection campaign

It's a toss-up Senate seat, so the money is going to flow. Sure, it's not the state legislature in Kansas, which can see $10k in Koch money swing a GOP primary from a neocon to an extreme-right libertarian, but $7M is pocket change when you're talking about potential billions in judicial court-stacking and regulatory-capture grift.

She is in bad health at age 76, if Maine elects her another 6 years they are hopeless

Maine is really the "median voter" state. A clear majority of the voters desperately hope to see the Democrats retake US Senate but the polls are showing a very slight edge towards Jackson.
It's as if they don't understand that there's a correlation between more votes for a Democrat in their state and higher odds of a Senate Dem majority. Truly baffling to the nth degree.

I live here and hate to say it, but there a lot of people that absolutely loath her, but who have massively benefitted from her pork belly handouts. It feels less like a campaign and more of a reminder of how much of our state is practically held hostage by her. Every other ad is a reminder about how one of the states largest employers will lose their government contracts if she loses. So a lot of people tell me they hate her and are scared for the country if republicans retain control, but have also had it beaten into them for years if not decades that if Collins loses they WILL lose their jobs.

It will really be telling of our current state of affairs and of the general level of stupidity of the electorate if this doesn’t start to drag her down in the polls. I just don’t know how any “fence sitters” can look at this and still be “on the fence” about who to vote for in this election. For those who haven’t read the original ProPublica article, here it is. While not surprising, it’s still gut wrenching to see the mask come off and to read about such brazen corruption that runs rampant throughout our government.

I live multiple states away and I'm at a point where possibly just shy of The Day of the Big Beautiful Headline, The day any flavor of news comes down that we never have to hear about this craven crone again is awaited eagerly.

In a group of the most corrupt politicians in history, Susan Collins still somehow manages to stand out as particularly corrupt.
