TeamTavern is a team finding site and I just added Marvel Rivals to it. It saves you from scrolling through Discord channels and old LFG posts to find people to play with.

How does it work?

Players post about themselves, groups and communities post what they're looking for: rank, roles (Tank, DPS, Support), server, platform, and whether it's casual, ranked, scrims or the Marvel Rivals Championship. The feed puts the posts that fit yours first, so you're not reading through Grandmasters when you're Gold, or PC players when you're on PlayStation.

You can browse all posts without an account. With an account, you can message anyone who fits. If you post too, you get an email when someone new fits your post, so you don't have to keep checking.

Why did you make this?

Solo queue is a coin flip. You get a Duelist on every slot, someone who leaves after the first fight, or someone who's on a different page entirely. A regular group fixes most of that, but finding one is the hard part. TeamTavern is meant to make that part easier.

It's empty, though?

Marvel Rivals is new on the site, so there are only a few posts so far. If you're looking for a group or players right now, a post there will stay up for 30 days and get you emailed matches, instead of sinking in an hour like a Reddit post.

Everyone hates on Luna for how many legendary skins she gets. I dont think it’s a dev preference thing, when I see the devs pumping out skins for an audience that will buy them. There is a reason the female skins go crazy when they get dropped. You can take the goon material out of the game but you can never remove the gooners.

Told my team before the game started, the enemy banned my mains tanks. Then they forced me to solo tank so I swapped off to iron man 2nd round. Of course I was blamed for the loss even though I was solo tanking and nobody was peeling the Venom. Very next match I get them after avoiding.

To clarify anything: yes I am a luna player, but even then I dislike how they have favoritism towards her because it means my other mains get ignored (like how emma got leftovers with her skins getting gaudy shoulder pads, chopped hairstyles, coattails, thigh high stripper boots, and a bodysuit in literally every skin for an entire year, not to mention that horrid queen of hearts skin 💀)

Anyways bias aside what do yall actually think about the skin? I think its quite pretty, I also like how they're giving her long hair more and more often as I'm not a big fan of the short hair look on her. I'm also not a big fan of the cosmic look they've been doing but I think it looks pretty good here because it's different gradients and colors and such, instead of the body just being one big color piece (like in caps and dr strange). The only thing I really dislike is the belt tail on the back, and that big moon, but the moon is still cute anyways.

The cotton candy recolor is pretty ugly, but the black and white recolor is very very gorgeous. The black colors of the skin reminds me of what the stars looks like at night, and the white makes me think of what it would look like if you were in the center of the galaxy.

Both Deadlock and Overwatch are releasing a new black character with PEAK designs this month (yes ow2 character with a good design, insane sentence) meanwhile rivals’ last black character release was more than a year ago.

Now I’m not feeding into that “ netease is racist “ topic, but we still need more black people ( and other minorities that aren’t asian ) love in this game.

Also this is not glaze to Blizzard or Valve. Because Blizzard neglects their black characters the same or maybe even worse than Netease. Meanwhile, in deadlock, black characters : Calico and Wraith, are criminals and Sinclair (a black couple ) is trapped in a WHITE mannequin.
( obviously a joke if you can’t tell that they clearly aren’t finished )

This voice acting from Gorr and Thor (especially Thor) is so supremely good, even just the little grunts with each of Thors swings. An animated show like this would heal all my wounds

Which play styles would you like to see for future Marvel Rivals characters that are from other hero shooters or just any game in general that you think would be pretty cool to have a MR character play like? Ngl I've never actually played TF2 before so I might be a bit of a larper on this one, but according to what everyone else says then a Spy type of play style would be perfect for Mystique with the only caveat being Loki and his ult being pretty similar but I'm sure they can work something out, but what type of play styles would you like to see for MR characters in the future?

I saw someone talk about this in a post and it had me curious. For the next black hero would you want Bishop or Luke Cage more? Me personally I am a big Luke Cage fan.

What happened to r/rivals when marvel rivals released? Did the old mods just like, transfer power to new ones? Was there some kinds discussion like "Hey guys your community is pretty small, can we have it for marvel rivals?"

And like, what happened to the old community? Was there some kind of purge of old posts and members or something? I've actually never thought about what happens when subreddits transfer to different ips

Luna is SEVERLY mishandled by the devs in the characterization/writing department. It's in the best interest of both Luna haters and Luna mains for the devs to divert some resources away from Luna skins and towards Luna's writing.

I rarely get a skin so my lunar Luna skin is a great skin to get because who knows when the next my legendary skin will be released.
