New: The LEAKED AUDIO Trump doesn’t want you to hear

Why can't MSNBC just tell us what it says instead of being so clickbaity? It's hardly better than the supposed news outlets on the other side of the aisle.
Edit: did not realize my gripe comment would blow up 😅

The purpose of corporate media isn't to inform - It's to distract and divide while taking in bribery money through ad buys from the industries that they protect. Ban pharmaceutical ads like every other decent country and every network will go bankrupt.

u/denom_chicken 16h ago
We should ban pharma ads. But then we should also ban gambling ads. Then they’d have no last resort

u/PurpEL 13h ago
Ban all ads

It sounds horrible, but considering how everything turned out in the paid by Adds world I wouldn't mind a second try with another system.
2
u/bottom 5h ago
it creates a bigger issue - if your paying for something - you basically want to 'like' it - the news shouldn't be that - you shouldn't 'like' it, it's factual.
but were already there tbh. people complain. about the 'media' whereas you can find a balanced read on any story by read 2/3 sources
side note: social media (including reddit) shold be banned.

u/CatpainLeghatsenia 4h ago
"Difficult one. I do mind the idea that everything is sensational news these days because it has to sell. There were always opinions in the media spectrum, but today a fart gets blown up into 'You wouldn’t believe what u/bottom did after his 15th bean burrito…' It’s a dead-beaten horse, but it still holds true: this was the beginning of newspapers selling Adds and newsboys yelling 'Extra! Extra!' on the streets, and it shifted to a more factual, less sensational approach once a subscription system was in place and news didn’t need to rely on advertising. The modern ad-reliant system is just a copy of that.
Most people should read two or three sources on a piece of news, but the truth is most don’t—they blindly believe their bubble, and that’s one major reason things have turned out the way they are.
And I agree: social media is internet cancer and shouldn’t exist."

u/archabaddon 16h ago
I honestly think the US economy would collapse if they banned pharmaceutical ads, they make up so much of the ad space

u/senat0r15 15h ago
How else would I know to ask my Dr if skyrizy is right for me? They’re only a medical professional with years of training. Clearly they need me to guide them in the right direction with my wealth of knowledge.

u/VoidofMind1 13h ago
🎼control is eve-ry thing to me🎼 I like Skyrizy cuz it fun to say. ski-RIZY!
I wonder what its sposed to do.

u/Happyberger 12h ago
I watched rogaine commercials for 20 fuckin years before I knew it was for regrowing hair

u/atbths 7h ago
If you're unsure about asking your doctor about Skyrizy, try Glaufabatram. The only medication almost proven to improve your ability to discuss Skyrizy. Only 14 easy-to-swallow pills at each meal, and you'll be able to discuss Skyrizy like you could when you were 3 years old.
Side effects likely include mental dysmorphia, hand foot and mouth disease, and a gentle moistening of the armpits.

Clearly they need me to guide them in the right direction with my wealth of knowledge.
Apparently enough people do just that in order to justify the ad spending... There must be a fuckton of GPs that don't keep up with new drugs and also don't bother with referrals to specialists that do keep up. They just listen to their patients and prescribe what the TV commercial says..
4
u/Timegoat 12h ago
Should also point out that board members of media companies are also deeply or even primarily involved in other industries.

I think it's just to make money. The fact that bullshit makes them most money is just the nature of money and power clinging to control.
67
u/YeahlDid 16h ago
They're all corporate news, my man. That's the issue. Real news shouldn't be for profit.
20
u/damendred 15h ago
The non-profit news in the US was gutted by this administration for their centrist dictates coming off to them as liberal bias.

I hate this take. They’re not all the same. MS Now is super clickbaity.
6

u/BRAX7ON 2h ago
Tell me what you think about Fox entertainment network. Click baity? Flat out lying? Pure propaganda?
No, let’s focus on MS now because they try to grab your attention while telling you the truth
0
u/ntwiles 2h ago
…this…this article was by MS NOW…we’re talking about MS NOW…
•
u/stuckinsanity 1h ago
And your claim is that MS Now is substantively worse than other outlets, which you haven't shown any evidence for.
2
u/agentchuck 8h ago
People still gotta eat, though. No one has wanted to pay for a newspaper in more than 20 years.

u/seansy5000 16h ago
He said, “I’m not hear to tell you that you can sit this one out”.
Why is it necessary to mutter such things? When is it ever ok to sit one out? Sitting one out is what got us into this mess because people got complacent.
VOTE. Trump is messaging to his cult to cheat like hell. Your ass better be voting!

u/porridge_in_my_bum 16h ago
If there’s ever a headline or title like that, there’s a high chance it’s not as interesting as they’re leading you to believe. If it was some insane smoking gun they would absolutely lead with it in the headline.

u/shitty_mcfucklestick 11h ago
I can’t stand their YouTube titles and thumbnails. Also, BTC is guilty for this too. Title says “Trump says something crazy somewhere”, with a picture of Trump saying the thing. Scrub the whole video and you don’t see him actually saying it. They talk about it endlessly. I just kinda want to see him say the fucking thing so I know what he said, in what context, and with what mannerism.
2
u/Mastasmoker 9h ago
Just follow the Associated Press for your news. Fuck cnn and msnbc and the like.

u/The_Pandalorian 14h ago
Maybe let's just not watch cable news, which has been dogshit since the first Gulf War, with very few exceptions (immediate 9/11 coverage, for example).

u/ITividar 7h ago
You know the point of the title is to get you to read it, right?
Why dont books just tell you the whole story in the title?

u/Mr-A-1991 16h ago
What is it now? I am too god damn tired to care about clicking the link.

How much longer will this style of title work until most people just skip it because it's been nothing a million times before? Even if this one is important, I'm not going to click on it because of the clickbait-style title.

u/gamesterdude 7h ago
What a garbage title. Trump doesn't give a fuck what people hear. He openly breaks the law and nothing is happening. Fucking media companies need to fuck off
147
u/Foe117 17h ago
what does this matter? he's not going to be impeached even after midterms, there are not enough senate defectors.
32
u/elite0x33 16h ago
Pretty easy way to identify who loyalists are and add fuel to the 10 years of investigations that need to occur to catch up on the eight years of bullshit this administration has brought forth.
Next president can run on justice and accountability, utilizing the constitutional guarantees every American is afforded and prosecute these traitors.
11
2
u/Old_but_not_cold 16h ago
he can run on it, but it didn't happen at all so far. why expect anything but a rug sweep
48
u/BilboStaggins 16h ago
Doesn't mean we need to let it slide.
-17
u/Foe117 16h ago
you know as well the political elite will let it slide
3
u/kaaz54 10h ago
Stop passing the blame! The American PEOPLE didn't only let everything slide, they rewarded this behavior by re-electing him. The "elite" don't have to do anything because the American voter has shown that this is what they wanted.
1
u/BilboStaggins 8h ago
A noisy portion have shown this. Still plenty of people who dont. Its not even close to a "landslide" like he likes to claims
3
u/BilboStaggins 8h ago
So we dont.
This "he wont get in trouble so why do we bother" shit is exactly why he gets away with it
2
4
u/Lemesplain 16h ago
He’s not going to get REMOVED in the senate, I agree.
But he absolutely could get impeached in the house. And depending on the charge (so many to choose from) they could drag Hegseth, Miller, etc. up to testify. Start building the case against all of his lackeys.
2
u/desperaterobots 14h ago
for what reason? so the bought and paid for supreme court can hand wave all of it away?
have we not noticed how blatantly and completely a reset is required?
2
3
u/Skylarking77 16h ago
There aren't currently, and I don't neccessarily expect there to be soon, but things can turn on a dime.
0
u/CervantesX 16h ago
Being impeached doesn't do a damn thing always, apparently.
3
u/pigeieio 16h ago
Not to him, he does have an entire cabinet and a whole lot of appointees they should probably test out though.
0
u/CervantesX 15h ago
An expulsion vote requires a 2/3 Senate majority, even the biggest blue wave won't hit that. His lackeys are safe until he stops being president, at which point they'll have a very very bad time. Which is why they will help him stay on as president.
15
u/cute_polarbear 16h ago
Nothing matters. His call to raffensburger alone should land him jail if anything, prevent him from ever holding a government position.
7
u/MlCOLASH_CAGE 15h ago
Nothing can surprise me anymore, he’s fucking scum and this whole administration is as well.
6
10
u/Oldsodacan 16h ago
Is this a 13 minute video around a 10 second soundbite where Paxton says “wasn’t helpful”? This is why people think the media is a joke.
12
u/haveanairforceday 16h ago
It seems to be audio of paxton saying that trumps papproach to the midterms is making it worse. The video is lots of commentary about how this shows internal disagreement, etc for the republicans
9
u/errortype520 8h ago
No matter what, VOTE. Idc if they are scared. Idc what polls say. You bet your ass I will be there waiting in line.
1
u/Wickham12 6h ago
Same. If the mango says we should treat the upcoming midterm elections as though he is in the running, I will do exactly that and not vote Right
4
5
u/phoenixmads 16h ago
I don't even want to bother to listen to this new "shocking" audio because I already know it won't matter.
3
u/newocean 8h ago
I can't wait until mid-November, when Republicans inevitably argue they were never on-board with all the bullshit for the past 2 years.
6
u/ZeroDaySorcerer 14h ago
This is why I believe I’ll miss critical information from the media…. Because everything is “Breaking” or you “Won’t believe this story” or “Listen to this once in a lifetime leak” or “Trump’s presidency is over” type stories where I click the link to an unskippable ad to a 10+ minute video that just eludes to the title with no substance. So I skip it.
6
u/notaclevernameguy 16h ago
He rips off the American people and wiped his ass with the constitution. Think leaked audio would matter? Wake me when he passes.
4
u/tiburon12 16h ago
r/videos has gone big time downhill with all of these clickbait political videos and nothing burgers disguised as "updates" to trending topics.
It's a shame

2
u/justsomeguy571 13h ago
Whats even the point of this? This scum has said and done things worse and the american people didnt gave a fuck and still elected him.

I’ll save you a click: Paxton may have said Trump’s “help” in Texas may not have been helpful.
