Oxygen should be off limits for ICE.

u/Auggernaut88 4h ago

In many other societies across many different time periods, these goons ended up swinging over the town square.

I’ve already been banned a handful of times for speaking my mind. That’s about as close as I think I can come on reddit

64

u/SaltyShawarma 3h ago

Im also getting banned all the time. Usually though, it is for quoting republicans in the article because everything they say is inciting violence and hate.

24

u/javoss88 3h ago

I quoted trum and got banned from r politics

15

u/esem86 3h ago

I'm convinced moderation is even more heavily automated than the swarms of bots they refuse to moderate. Reddit is going downhill fast.

8

u/Pink_Egg_Cereal 2h ago edited 22m ago

most mods are paid off or have been "hired" recently.

for example the politics sub mods get paid by the daily beast to allow them to post their crap AI articles. a friend of mine was blocked recently for pointing it out and the mods just insulted him without denying it

•

u/AzureDrag0n1 8m ago

Actually it is worse. Some moderators are very likely state hired by countries or political groups to control certain sub reddits. Especially r/news and r/worldnews.

4

u/adobecredithours 2h ago

The same has happened to me. I quoted trump's response to Mueller's death and got banned from r politics.

3

u/Pink_Egg_Cereal 2h ago edited 22m ago

a friend of mine recently got banned for asking why the daily beast is constantly allowed to be posted

1

u/javoss88 2h ago

Those guys (bots?) suck. Have you tried to appeal the ban? I did a couple times, and they basically demanded a mea culpa like if you were in middle school. Fuck them, I was quoting the president’s actual words. Still banned for “inciting violence.”

E: Who again was the one inciting violence?

3

u/subnautus 1h ago

The only time I tried to appeal a ban on politics was...interesting.

I got a temporary ban because someone insulted me and I responded in kind. "Bad behavior of others is no excuse." Ok, fine.

...but then I got another temporary ban for a comment I made before the first one in the same offending conversation. I questioned the rationale of that, saying I wasn't given an opportunity to learn from my mistake, correct my behavior, and so on.

At that point they said it wasn't up for discussion, to which I said the only thing I've learned from the experience is that the mods of politics don't like their authority being questioned.

I got a sitewide ban from reddit for that one. Way to prove my point, lads!

2

u/adobecredithours 2h ago

I did appeal and they overturned the ban. Still pissed that I get banned for quoting it and the president gets applause for saying it.

1

u/drunkenvalley 1h ago

I got a ban once for quoting Charlie Kirk with the express purpose of pointing out he did in fact say [racist thing]. Yeah Reddit mods can be lazy shites.

•

u/burtoncummings 1h ago

I once got banned for a comment about a boxing match, because I spoke about people getting punched in the face, while discussing boxing.

Even after pointing that out, they responded how you think they would (ban stays).

So dumb...

5

u/--Icarusfalls-- 2h ago

I got a temp ban for quoting Charles Dickens a couple weeks ago, lol. The irony was not lost upon me

10

u/Complex_Lab_6876 4h ago

Well said.

5

u/racingsoldier 1h ago

It is Machiavellian politics personified from The Prince. You don’t want to be the Sheriff. The Sheriff gets hired to do the evil bidding of the Prince. The Sheriff moves across the land eliminating the Prince’s opposition. Then when society can’t take it anymore, the prince executes the Sheriff publicly and is cheered as a hero of the people for saving them from the Sheriff.

3

u/adudeguyman 2h ago

We could supply them with helium so they all sound silly whenever they're yelling

2

u/propergreased 1h ago

Only frozen hydrogen

2

u/Altruistic_Zombie461 3h ago

Careful. That's ban worthy talk around here.

24

u/Complex_Lab_6876 3h ago

Yeah I’m more concerned about America being a Nazi run country than a Reddit ban.

3

u/Altruistic_Zombie461 3h ago

I don't disagree with you. Just warning. I have been banned for less

ICE would be in delivery rooms ready to throw a fresh born baby over the border if they could.

These people have no souls.

36

u/LongBeakedSnipe 3h ago

Its not about souls. Its about emasculated, overcompensating guys being empowered to take out their hateful failures of lives on whoever they are allowed

17

u/Immynimmy 2h ago

Do you have a tiny penis?

Do girls want nothing to do with you?

Have you accomplished nothing of note in your life?

Did you drop out of high school?

Do you have no friends and your family doesn’t care to talk to you anymore?

Join ice!

4

u/Thirty_Helens_Agree 2h ago

Do you have juvenile action-movie fantasies? Have you done the Travis Bickle “you talkin to me?” thing in the mirror? Do you daydream about shooting a man? Shooting a woman? Then ICE is for you!

2

u/OLacAlmost 2h ago

Same shit

2

u/make_thick_in_warm 1h ago

There’s a reason they co opted a micro penis support group name “Proud Boys” before they joined ICE

-13

u/joanzen 2h ago

Guy complains that ICE barely wait for the kid to be driving away safely on the bus before taking the parent into custody.

Reddit upvoted a post saying that ICE would yank a baby from the womb to get at the parent.

This proves that in reality a portion of reddit is clearly running on fictional rage, mad at what they think ICE could be, not what it really is.

What does this do for the smart (minority) portion of reddit? Well this makes ICE look like they need a second glance in a more honest light. A light where we consider that we are paying for this George Bush task force with our taxes.

Perhaps anti-ICE folks should just stick to non-fictional arguments?

6

u/kintar1900 2h ago

Perhaps anti-ICE folks should just stick to non-fictional arguments?

Only when the pro-ICE folks do the same.

-9

u/joanzen 2h ago

I'm not pro-ICE I'm pro-fact, and this makes me look anti-ICE because the protests are helping ICE due to all the fiction.

•

u/kintar1900 1h ago

I wasn't saying you are pro-ICE. I'm saying that the people who are so rabidly in favor of it don't give a rat's ass about factual arguments, since most of the things used to justify the militarization of ICE against US citizens are fictional. Since apparently the only way to get them to listen is to make shit up, there's no way to use facts to sway them, so why do you care if the anti-ICE arguments are just as false as the pro-ICE ones?

•

u/joanzen 47m ago

Where's the good factual arguments? You can't find the trees due to the fiction created by the forest?

I swear that all this fictional protesting is doing more to help ICE than any basic protester can realize.

ICE should be doing plenty to protest without making up stories and blurring reality/truth?

104

u/captaindealbreaker 4h ago

The idea that we can curtail ICE or make what they do more humane by limiting where they're allowed to operate is just fascist appeasement. Abolish the fucking agency, prosecute everyone who worked for it or was responsible for it, and bring justice to the thousands of people that have been displaced. It's genuinely not that fucking difficult.

22

u/javoss88 3h ago

Agree. Appeasement failed before, leading us to where we are today.

4

u/transientdude 2h ago

And we did it again under Biden after a bad attempt at a coup. We have to stop letting them off the hook.

•

u/TurgidGravitas 1h ago

Asking for something impossible is also harmful. There must always be some form of immigration and custom enforcement. Every other country in the world enforces their borders.

Fight what needs fighting. Asking for unicorns and rainbows isn't going to help anyone.

•

u/captaindealbreaker 1h ago

This isn't border enforcement, this is hunting down people that are here legally or currently here working through the legal process of immigration and stripping them of their rights. The people doing the hunting have no training or understanding of the law. And they've killed multiple US citizens in cold blood in our streets. Fuck off with the "we need some level of enforcement."

WE DO, IT'S CALLED BORDER CONTROL

•

u/TurgidGravitas 31m ago

Yeah, and ICE is the enforcement part of border control. If there is no enforcement, there is no control.

Instead of calling for the abolishment of a necessary government function, call for better regulations and oversight.

It's the same thing with trying to abolish law enforcement. It needs to happen for society to function. Calling for a complete ban of that function makes you look foolish and that colours your concerns.

If a house is on fire, you don't call for the abolishment of heat. People will ignore you and the house will burn down in spite of your efforts.

•

u/captaindealbreaker 17m ago

ICE is a separate agency. Border Patrol has their own enforcement division. In it's current former, ICE are the secret police of the White House. They need to be abolished and whatever legitimate duties they currently perform can be handled by the litany of existing agencies that were doing their jobs just fine prior to the formation of ICE.

•

u/BrockVegas 58m ago

Dude, they clearly said :

"It's genuinely not that fucking difficult."

/s if it isn't clear

Simple answers to complex matters are the same tools the fascists used to get us to this point.

•

u/captaindealbreaker 15m ago

If a majority of congress votes to close the agency, it will close. Elect responsible legislators that do the right thing and fascism loses.

-6

u/joanzen 2h ago

ICE is paid for with our taxes. The idea we don't control them or know what they are doing via video records is just theatrical fiction.

Ask an AI (or three) and then take the parts that corroborate as the truth, do not trust my words, that would be crazy.

Terrorizing people is the point.

5

u/groovyinutah 4h ago

He's presuming compassion from a party and administration that have gone out of their way to show none...

11

u/SqueezyCheez85 4h ago

All they have to do is post up at a jail and deport anybody with a crime. They don't have to do anything. Let the real cops do the work for you.

4

u/bpetersonlaw 3h ago

That would be preferable to grabbing people pretty much anywhere else. Though it fails to reach criminals who have served their sentences but have deportation orders. I guess you assume criminals will commit more crimes and get them after the next arrest.

3

u/SqueezyCheez85 3h ago

If they were only going after criminals, it would be the way to do it. But they aren't just going after criminals. They want their actions to be out in the open to make a show of force, and to create public unrest.

1

u/bpetersonlaw 3h ago

True. There are much better ways to deport criminals with histories of felony convictions (something I think most Americans support). By having such high profile and violent tactics, they can cause immigrants w/o criminal histories to self-deport rather than risk being detained in awful conditions.

2

u/scfade 2h ago

By having such high profile and violent tactics, they can cause immigrants w/o criminal histories to self-deport rather than risk being detained in awful conditions.

I really think you're giving them too much credit. This isn't a layered strategy - the obvious blunt cruelty is the entire point. Whether or not it has any kind of impact on immigration numbers is completely immaterial to the people running the show... and realistically, the voters don't care, either. They're going to confidently argue that it's working without ever looking at the stats, because they're extremely satisfied with the optics.

1

u/SqueezyCheez85 2h ago

They want racists to cheer them on, and dissidents to incite them into disproportionate violence.

2

u/daerogami 3h ago

"No way, they're more likely to fight back! We prefer random people, especially children." - ICE Agents

1

u/I_argue_for_funsies 1h ago

They go for women and children because it keeps them safe. These gravy seals should start by walking into every crack den and meth lab with police to remove the worst of the worst. If they are legal, so be it. Arrest them instead.

But that's not why they are there...

20

u/qdobe 4h ago

No, we must terrorize children who aren’t white!

ICE should be abolished because they're racist, uncontrollable maniacs!

Don't believe me? Well here's a strange outlier situation of an ICE agent doing something bad!

See how that works both ways?

•

u/Zehapo 1h ago

Outside of the fact that immigrants commit violent crimes at a lower rate than the total population, they also aren’t being handed weapons and unleashed on the public abducting people. We should probably have a much higher bar for that

3

u/Meta2048 2h ago

It's not an outlier when it happens multiple times every week

2

u/SpezRuinedHellsite 2h ago

See how that works both ways?

It doesn't work both ways. Immigrants, legal or not, commit crimes at a lower rate than the population.

ICE is an unaccountable, fascist crackdown in which mistakes are celebrated and due process is ignored.

•

u/RoostasTowel 1h ago

Immigrants, legal or not, commit crimes

•

u/FeyrisMeow 55m ago

or not, commit

•

u/RoostasTowel 30m ago

Are they legal citizens or the opposite?

1

u/Nu-Hir 2h ago

Here's the problem with that logic. This will also terrorize children who are white. Do you think a 6 year old is going to come to the realization that their friends' parents are getting kidnapped by masked cowards because of the color of their skin?

3

u/distantlistener 1h ago

11:20 -- "...sanctuary school bus stops! All the illegals, the criminals, the pedophiles, will end up at school bus stops!" This is the F'd up 💩 you'll say when you value your party over the well-being and ideals of our country.

13

u/Literally_Laura 4h ago

In many cases we’re not dealing with people who can be reasoned with, nor can they be trusted, because they are proven hypocrites. So, I no longer look for agreement.

Please vote, please vote blue, and let’s all hope it’s not too little too late.

1

u/Jesus_Is_My_Gardener 3h ago

Listen, and understand! Those fascists are out there! They can't be bargained with. They can't be reasoned with. They don't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And they absolutely will not stop... ever, until we are dead!

•

u/djwalleee 27m ago

You really think ICE or anyone in the Trump Administration gives a fuck?

4

u/OpticalInfusion 3h ago

I wish people would stop trying to meet murdering psychopaths halfway. If one platform is "kill everybody" and the other is "kill nobody," the solution isn't "kill half the people."

3

u/nicholus_h2 2h ago

I'm going to bet the answer is no, we cannot agree on that. We SHOULD be able to agree on that, but no, we cannot agree on that. Just look at who you're asking.

4

u/CarpeNivem 3h ago

Of course we can't "agree" on that. We can't even fucking agree whether America should be building concentration camps. Entirely too many people are applauding that, so yeah, those fuckers are going to be okay with this too. Wake up to who our neighbors have become - sorry, have always been, but are now comfortable being public about, because they know how many of them there actually are.

2

u/Luvs_to_drink 2h ago

Lets back things up, how did the kids get enrolled in school? Are these situations where one parent is legal and the other isnt? If both parents are illegal, who was the legal resident that got the kid into the school?

Seems like we have a whole slew of admin issues that need to be addressed before we bring ICE into anything. Rounding people up and sending them back doesnt solve the root issue. It is the equivalent of a boat with a leak and saying handing a person a bucket solved it. It did not. that leak will continue to pour water in and while the person with the bucket can toss water out, water keeps coming in. We need to instead find the leak and patch it.

and this is under the guise that we want better pathways for immigrants to come here. but the current Dump administration doesnt actually care about that. they just want to be cruel and hurtful.

•

u/bikestuffrockville 53m ago

School districts have an obligation to educate all children in their boundaries regardless of legal status. The status of the parents or guardians has no bearing.

•

u/targz254 49m ago

Under the landmark 1982 U.S. Supreme Court decision in Plyler v. Doe, public schools must provide a free K-12 education to all children regardless of whether they or their parents are undocumented.

-2

u/5eeb5 2h ago

It is the equivalent of a boat with a leak and saying handing a person a bucket solved it. It did not. that leak will continue to pour water in and while the person with the bucket can toss water out, water keeps coming in.

It is the equivalent of a boat with a leak. Throwing the people in economy class off the boat and thinking that fixed the leak. It did not. But the people in 1st class get to pump their chest and act like they're helping fix the leak while the boat sinks

3

u/charliefoxtrot9 2h ago

Can we agree that ICE fucking suuuuuuuuuucks

1

u/zslayer89 4h ago

How else are they gonna find their dates? Now that the island is closed off and it’s owner died of natural causes.

1

Murder should be off-limits as well but….

1

u/benoxxxx 3h ago edited 48m ago

Pretty telling that his entire counter-argument is 'well, some people elsewhere with the same skin colour did crimes, so traumatising children with the same skin colour is obviously justified'.

Racist fucking maggot.

•

u/fuzzydunloblaw 53m ago

Strange they don't call trump who is a convicted felon and who was affirmed a rapist by two unanimous civil juries an "illegal," like they label all undocumented immigrants.

1

u/SophiaKittyKat 2h ago

I mean obviously americans can't agree on that, why are we pretending otherwise?

Reddit is American-based, right?

If yes, thank you Reddit for showing the entire world how the “United States of “america”” is.

Wow. Just.. wow.

1

u/Jaredkorry 1h ago

Hospitals, churches and court hearings aren't off limits to them.

•

u/Previous_Soil_5144 1h ago

Anywhere there are children. Also h ospitals and court houses.

•

u/MetalWood 1h ago

If only there was some government entity/organization whose job it is to enforce laws such as not being allowed to expose yourself to a bunch of kids

•

u/klparrot 55m ago

Evidently not. :(

•

u/GayMormonPirate 50m ago

Toward the end of last school year, a bus driver in my kid's school was an absolute hero. She noticed ICE at the bus stop and made the decision to skip the stop. She and the district and bus manager all got in communication and sent out quick notices to the parents. They continued their route and then came back later to drop those kids off.

•

u/geekmasterflash 42m ago

If we could agree to basic decency we'd not be here in the first place, sadly.

•

u/frosted1030 32m ago

Not sure what that's about. ICE doesn't have limits or controls. They are not responsible to the safety or the wellbeing of anyone.

•

u/Bleezy79 27m ago

Imagine the kind of society we have to be in to have such a headline exist. History will not be kind to MAGA, these congressional republicans and the fascist policies they put on our country.

•

u/Sprinklypoo 11m ago

I can agree to that, but I'm not a bigoted fascist.

•

u/Rrraou 4m ago

The cruelty is the point.

1

u/Expensive_Finger_973 2h ago

I think that the environment that has been created where having to entertain the notion of "this is a place ICE is not allowed to be" like a demon not being allowed to freely walk into a church is the issue itself.

Perhaps the apparent general idea being given to ICE agents that grabbing kids off the street to pressure their parents into giving themselves up like a hostage situation is not the right path forward.

Should a bus stop be off limits? Yes, but if you have to actually put that in the rule book then the whole thing is corrupted to its core and needs to be reformed.

-8

u/bajajoaquin 3h ago

Unpopular opinion: no

The problem is a terrible immigration legal and policy framework. We need immigration. We need rational border protection. We need reasonable immigration enforcement.

Creating layers of off limits and sanctuary areas is just going to make the problem worse.

I don’t have the solution, recognize and appreciate the underlying impulse here. I’d just like to make real meaningful progress

2

u/Kythorian 2h ago

If ICE has investigated and already knows someone is an illegal immigrant, what benefit is there in grabbing them at a bus stop other than just to spread terror through the community? Just go to their house and pick them up there. If they don’t know if someone is an illegal immigrant and are just rounding up brown kids to check after the fact…well that’s much worse. But either way, there’s no actual good reason for ICE to be grabbing kids at school bus stops.

0

u/tryyeezus 1h ago

The benefit is that ICE doesn't have to obtain a legal warrant at a bus stop. They do to try to get them from their homes.  And they're mostly just grabbing adults that are dropping their kids off as most of the children were actually born here. Then they get out of school to no parent at home. It's torture and it's disgusting.

-3

u/bajajoaquin 2h ago

I absolutely agree. I just think that adding layers of overlapping rules and laws is a recipe additional abuse (“we didn’t get him at the bus stop, we were 23’ away!” Or “the road block we put up in front of the school doesn’t violate the “no bus stops rule.””)

•

u/Nillabeans 1h ago

So, a schoolbus has windows. You can kinda see who's inside. I'm not sure what you intend to gain by stopping a bunch of children or how that helps with the infrastructure you're talking about.

Kinda just feels like you're saying, no but you don't understand. We need to traumatize children in order to make up for poor border patrol.

•

u/LostPerson703 1h ago

You are probably fine with guns in school property too huh?

-4

u/BroughtBagLunchSmart 3h ago

Sanctuary areas were created as a protection against right wing agencies trying to bankrupt blue cities. You can always count on right wingers doing the most evil shit possible and we need protection against that.

0

u/ChimPhun 2h ago

I agree in that is should be reformed into what it was pre-Trump.

It used to be lot less Gestapo-like, but nazis gonna nazi.

-1

u/Telescopeinthefuture 1h ago

“Sanctuary area”

Bruh it’s a fucking school bus full of children, what the hell are you talking about. The problem is not poor immigrants, but wealthy interests that control the conversation, lobby against any positive change, and creates scapegoats for people to fear.

1

u/ngpropman 3h ago

Can we agree that ice should be fully disbanded and everyone appropriate be fully criminally charged. An agency that has children in cages suddenly becoming pregnant should not exist.

1

u/heftyspork 2h ago

The idea that ICE is the only law enforcement and you're creating a safe haven for people to commit crimes when there are tons of other local low enforcement agencies that are allowed to operate in the area is just insane. Sadly that is completely on brand for Republican lawmakers because they don't live in reality and instead are here to paint a scary world for you where things that won't happen are the only possible outcome of a simple law.

-4

u/-CaptainFormula- 4h ago

The biggest issue with ice is killing god damn citizens in the street. The second biggest issue is detaining people who have every right to be here. Ruining families for no reason other than overshooting their arrest numbers to pretend they're detaining all sorts of illegals.

Far down the list is specifically where they're finding actual illegal immigrants for detaining/deporting. McDonald's parking lot, group therapy session, bus stop, it doesn't matter. At least that's their actual job.

-4

u/juggling-monkey 3h ago

to add to what they are doing is HOW they are doing it. The suspect description is basically "a non white person" so they pull over or approach ANYONE that meets that description and ruin their lives. Since this whole shitshow started Ive seen endless amounts of videos posted daily of Hispanic people being terrorized, and more recently I see the same of Black people because they may be Jamaican, Haitian, etc. Have no doubt this type of system comes for everyone that is not white and when there are nothing but white people left it starts start selecting white people based on origin (ex: Irish vs British) and eventually the whites that are weighing down the country aka poor vs rich, because this type of system always has to point at a group and say, "we are better than them."

2

u/-CaptainFormula- 3h ago

to add to what they are doing is HOW they are doing it. The suspect description is basically "a non white person" so they pull over or approach ANYONE that meets that description and ruin their lives.

Right, that would be a good example of detaining the wrong people and causing harm to families. Which is unquestionably an awful thing to do, even once, let alone in any pattern.

Have no doubt this type of system comes for everyone that is not white and when there are nothing but white people left it starts start selecting white people based on origin

... Nope

This is a make-believe extremist interpretation of what's happening. It helps no-one to believe this or repeat it. Because it's not what's happening.

That's very nice. I like Poe quite a bit, myself. Rudyard Kipling's If is very nice too. Michael Caine recited it in a YouTube video once and it's always stuck with me.

McDonald's parking lot, group therapy session, bus stop, it doesn't matter.

Only if you're a shiny black leather footwear enthusiast who can't see past the end of their baton.

Regardless of immigration status, it is better for literally everybody if people can get drivers licenses, go to the police to report crimes, get medical attention, attend court dates, etc. without fearing they'll get deported.

If those functions of society become enmeshed with draconian enforcement mechanisms, they will become methods of control rather than services.

You will be next.

4

u/-CaptainFormula- 1h ago

Only if you're a shiny black leather footwear enthusiast who can't see past the end of their baton.

🙄 Make-believe land.

Regardless of immigration status, it is better for literally everybody if people can get drivers licenses, go to the police to report crimes, get medical attention, attend court dates, etc. without fearing they'll get deported.

Illegal immigrants get deported. This is not an issue, it's just what happens. Don't illegally immigrate places.

You will be next.

I won't. You're in make-believe land again.

ICE is a problem right now. A real, serious problem in this country. But trying to force false narratives does not help fix those problems, it obfuscates them. You're doing the GOP's work by propagating this baloney.

-2

u/SpezRuinedHellsite 1h ago

LOL, you can go google the news stories. None of what I said is incorrect. Tell me more about how I shouldn't talk about the obvious consequences of MAGA policies.

3

u/-CaptainFormula- 1h ago

LOL, you can go google the news stories.

I certainly can. If there's a news story I want to see I need only look. They can make it in any flavor you want. Such is the state of news media in 2026.

0

u/SpezRuinedHellsite 1h ago

Buddy, events happen and actions have consequences. Truth exists, and so do wrong answers.

But it makes sense that you only ever see what you want to see.

•

u/-CaptainFormula- 1h ago

...okay?

Illegal immigrants being deported is not an issue.

People being detained and accused of being illegal when they're not is an issue. Gunning down citizens who are protesting is an issue.

The United States is not Nazi Germany. It's not out gunning for all the non-whities.

And again, illegal immigrants being deported? Not an issue.

If we could focus on ICE's actual issues it'd make it much easier to address them.

So, criminals could just hang out at bus stops?

1

u/p_larrychen 2h ago

ICE hasn't been targeting criminals for a while now

Never have, that was bullshit from the beginning.

Edit: Sorry, downvotes won't magically make me incorrect lol.

Only TWO things should be off-limits for ICE: School bus stops and anything that is not school bus stops

0

u/aarswft 2h ago

That's going to be a tough sale. If it weren't for the fact they were ICE agents, most of them wouldn't be allowed 100 yards of school anyways.

What a shithole country

You Americans do know about the literal concentration camps that you have now? I don't understand how nobody is doing anything about it.

3

u/beershitz 1h ago

I don’t think literal concentration camps allowed visiting hours and legal counsel. Seems more like a literal prison.

Concerning how it was all over the news and now we almost never hear about them even though people continue to be subjected to horrendous, lethal conditions.

u/odnezl 3h ago

Isn't the first time America has had concentration camps, probably won't be the last time either

-2

u/CoffeeToDeath 2h ago

Well we could do something about it, but we would either be shot with military grade weapons or put into those camps our selves. Or both. But also Americans are too afraid of losing our jobs or a single week’s pay to do any kind of revolting against our government. Im an anarchist and would love nothing more than to storm their facilities but it would realistically be only a small handful of people doing so, and we would get our asses handed to us and be instantly labeled a terrorist real quick. So it wouldn’t do jack shit. The majority of Americans including the gun owning ones are cowards now.

This fucking country has ZERO true solidarity for one another. We are a self centered anti social population unfortunately.

u/Trump_Russia 3h ago

HAHAHA you think the American Nazi party is going to stop their brown shirts from terrorizing immigrant children?!?!

0

u/GameboyPATH 3h ago

If we did that, then we'd be setting up regulations and restrictions on ICE based on moral objections to massive disruptions of communities and families, as well as traumatizing children of immigrants and innocent bystanders.

And if we did that, then we'd be setting a precedent of regulating ICE based on minimizing disruptions to families and communities, and that'd have a WHOLE lot of implications about recent policies regarding masked and ID-less ICE agents, or raid locations like immigration offices, schools, and households, or how we keep family members in holding without informing external family members, or how we deport people to third countries completely unrelated to their country of origin. Can you IMAGINE if we suddenly had to look at the MORALITY of how we forcibly detain, hold, and deport mass numbers of people against their will? The whole system that ICE is fundamentally built on would collapse, and they wouldn't be able to do their jobs!

What, did you think that the law was based on the values, priorities, and goals of the population that it's meant to serve? No, it's meant to serve whatever arbitrary group of people I choose to identify as my own. So quit your moral objections and submit to authority.

u/robinredstart 1h ago

Do you think this adds anything of substance here, what's your real point? You smell like a troll

2

u/GameboyPATH 1h ago

My point was that ICE is an institution that has goals that are inherently harmful overall for the country. Stopping them from raiding school bus stops is a valid goal, but the reasoning behind the kinds of harm such a restriction is meant to prevent can, and should, be applied anywhere in the US.

The tone I was going for was satirical, not trolling. Sorry for any misunderstanding.

any suggestion....no matter how reasonable will always be met by the right with some hypothetical that has hardly if ever happeend. perpetually facing an imagined circumstance.

0

u/irvingstark 2h ago

No. Because cruelty is the goal.

0

u/UltraGiant 2h ago

Then they would just wait a couple of minutes and grab the family 50 feet away. ICE has no morals, they just will find a loop hole

u/taizzle71 2h ago

Bro. If the orange turd wanted he can order a baby straight from the wombs umbilical cord attached and all to ice detention and his turd crowd would applause. We all know this.

•

u/needlestack 1h ago

Are you kidding? The people in favor of ICE very much want to harm families. They see undocumented people living, working, and growing their families here as terrorists. They want more suffering for them, not less.

•

u/seeingeyegod 17m ago

The entire country should be off limits. The floor should be lava for them.

•

u/lushootseed 1h ago

Unpopular opinion - If someone is illegally here, ICE can and should be able to apprehend them any place and any time. I just want ICE to follow the law and only use necessary force.

Can't arrest them at home, work, place of worship, when on vacation or when they are with the family? If this continues, there won't any time or place to arrest them

-1

u/RealCoolDad 3h ago

Wouldn’t ever kid on a bus not have ID?

-1

u/JDotDDot 2h ago

Sane people can agree on that, sure

•

u/LastBastionYellow 1h ago

Absolutely not.

•

u/Epicboat 1h ago

Man… I read the posts from losers here and I’m tempted to join ice. If I needed the cash sure but then I’d have to deal with more losers. Oh well. I can just report some illegals if I see them

Look at how careful he has to dance around the topic so he doesn't hurt the feefees of the big manly Patriots™ in the room.
