Unless the point isn't to make money. These creeps are likely just recording women they want to jerk off to so none of those things will prevent them from recording then or jerking off later. Also, I really hate that this is a fucking thing. It really isn't difficult to be a decent person, or at least it shouldn't be.

It doesn't prevent them, but your odd behavior acting like you were suddenly filming an ad spot would get a fair bit of bystander attention. Last time I had to deal with anything even remotely like that I learned that creeps hate bystander attention. It's pretty much their Kryptonite because they know it could end with their ass getting beat or arrested.

My go to has always been to attract as much attention as possible. I yell and point at the dude "EVERYONE LOOK AT THIS CREEP" as loud as I can. Obviously this only works in a place with other people, but its been pretty effective.

But what if nobody looks? Awkward

Yea but then you have other random bystanders just using their phones to record your weird behavior in public now.

Losers like this put these things up on porn websites too.

Considering how illegal it is I have to imagine any site that lets this get posted is one that also isn’t paying attention to copyright issues

Also… it’s pretty easy to edit out sound

I wasn't speaking to the copyright issues, I'm just pointing out that they're not only being used to film bespoke spank bank material.

It's not illegal just recording people in public, that's the problem. If they made recording people in public illegal all news stations would be fucked.

It's a tough law to make, because it's difficult to not exclude absolutely legitimate recordings.

Yah do they candid creep vids are posted on YouTube? Most of them are done for love of the game not money.

Even if it starts out only as the "spank bank", the fact that it enters the digital space makes it extremely easy to spread to other people, creep subs, porn sites, you name it. It wouldn't be as easy if it were traditional film (much harder to replicate). I also hate to sound slippery-slope-ish, but surreptitiously recording people could be surreptitiously recording targets (for things like theft or sexual assault), and again, the digital space makes collusion for these awful acts much easier. Creep alone, bad. Creeps together, VERY BAD.
