What is the disney music supposed to do? Does it stop the recording somehow?

In case the pervert publishes

Pretty sure most creeps aren't publishing their videos on YouTube or even monetizing them at all.

It's like people forget there are more websites than just YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and reddit on the Internet.

Disney is notoriously litigious; if you use any of their copyrighted material, they'll come for you. The men recording can't post the video with that music playing without getting a strike.

Ah yes, the perv is definitely recording in order to post it on public YouTube under their real name where Disney can issue a DMCA takedown.

The real answer is "the music will do nothing, this is just a dumb idea someone's posted to farm social media likes".

Like when people forward those old "this is notice that i don't give Facebook permission to use my posted content" chain posts

Not sayin' it works or doesn't, just answering the question ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Pretty much, you just gave their wank material a nice disney soundtrack.

The idea that the worst thing a person can do with video is put it online is somewhat laughable.

I don't think they're recording for the sake of posting online for others though if their intentib recording is nefarious

Oh they are, just not on YouTube or other sites. Perv forums still exist. I know the Internet seems like a small place these days if all you grew up with is social media but it's a huge expanse of websites and forums and file hosts that are totally unregulated by big businesses. This whole thread reeks of people who have never left their walled gardens.

I gotcha. Good to know. Clever workaround.

Thank god people cannot edit the audio of a video clip…

Go publish something with anything Disney thinks is their intellectual property...

The point is not to stop the recording, it is rather to stop the publishing.

Wouldn't it just be the video without sound

1

u/mjhrobson 13h ago

I was explaining the reason behind the statement, not a workaround... but sure it would be easy to circumvent.

But just because there is an easy workaround doesn't mean that our enterprising peeping Tom's will remember to use the mute feature before uploading.

It could be but it adds one extra layer of work for every video when otherwise no editing was required. Presumably, whoever is using this device will record a lot.

3

u/Ristar87 15h ago

Pressing the mute button isn't a lot of extra work but... I get where this is going. Makes sense. Modern problems, modern solutions.

u/Intrepid_Year3765 14h ago

Oh no 2 seconds of extra work

Disney is famously litigious. It won't stop the recording, but they won't be able to post the video with the original audio

Ai takes out music with the click of a button now.

u/Smooth_Rocket_ 7h ago

Except its not 2016 anymore and editing out music is extremely easy.

1

u/Ristar87 15h ago

That makes sense.

I guess the nightmare scenario for a woman is that the man records her face and maybe captures her behind in the video as well in whatever outfit she's chosen to wear out in public that day and posts it online.

So if she's wearing yoga pants or short shorts or a miniskirt, he captured a picture of her rump and her face and posted it where others can see.
