Before anyone comments with suggestions that vaguely or outright resemble violence please note they will be removed, and that they may get you banned.

Threats of violence, however well intentioned you may think they are, even if not directed at any specific person will draw the wrath of Reddit itself.

I didn’t make Reddits rules. I’ve also gotten suspended from Reddit for less than the comments some people have put out today.

But by all means if you think my comment is too preachy, self righteous then feel free to test the limits of the rules of Reddit.

I’ve not said I disagree with the comments. I’ve said that the comments break rules that Reddit enforces. We remove the comments so they don’t affect the sub itself whether we agree with them or not.

It's not super deep, the phrasing of it just comes off as mega corny to me.

Like it has the same vibe of "ah yes, I suppose I can provide you misbehavers the privilege of commenting on this post, so say I, the mighty Reddit mod."

I'm so sure that there are a bunch more corny and cringe comments on this thread accusing the mods of removing their comments because the mods are sensitive or think they're too powerful, as if getting a reddit comment removed is a personal attack on their freedom

So you're saying that if a post turns into a reddit rule breaking cess pit, instead of reddit enforcing their rules, they insist you do it for them? And the threat is what, complete shutdown of the sub?

Maybe y'all should unionize or something.. because, besides the literal slave labor (yes ik it's not a HARD JOB WHO CARES, STILL FREE WORK), you're letting them skirt their own responsibilities. If a poster breaks a subs rules, you enforce it. If a poster breaks a reddit rule, they do. Is that crazy to assume how it should be?

I remove the comments so the sub doesn’t get in trouble for not doing anything. Never said I disagree with the comments.
