I mean... the people who need to be told these things are who they are because they don't care about what you think proper behavior is in the first place, so going on a "men need to change" rant is at best ineffective, and at worst it generalizes all the men minding their own business being told they need to change behavior they don't have, making them jaded and apathetic to the problems women face because it just becomes "here we go again getting blamed and lectured for stuff I don't do". So all in all, its a useless endeavor that doesn't help anything and basically makes things worse.

So yea... forgive people for trying to come up with some type of response besides that pointless option

Yeah this is sort of a survivorship bias situation. Women are much more likely to have unpleasant and memorable interactions with weirdos and creeps because they care the least about good impressions, social norms, and just generally helping those around them be comfortable. Obviously if the majority of men just walk along minding their own business, those few creeps are really gonna stand out when they come at you and cat call you, or record you with creeper Meta glasses.

And yeah personally I would also be creeped out if someone started recording me with spy glasses, its not just a man vs women situation here, most normal men are also creeped out by spy glasses.

Also as a human being, if you know many other humans, you would know many of them cant just be told no, I'm very confused what sort of delusional take it is to "just say no and that'll fix it" like wtf, what y'all think we have laws for? Its specifically because saying no doesn't work.

Maybe we should outlaw meta glasses, but the solution certainly isn't telling these men "no", why tf would anyone think they would listen? They're creeps, they don't listen, thats why they're creeps, they don't care.
