Hello, this is Tom Tucker's evil twin brother, Todd Tucker.

The joke is that Europeans, despite American Cheeses regularly winning European Cheese Competitions, think Americans don't have real cheese.

Mwahahaha

Regularly... An italo-american won once in 2025...

So from all world prestige competitions that have 1 gold. And she didnt use any american style cheese but learnt how to make italian cheese.

Also i found another gold medal that Fox News refference it as "europeans stunned with american cheese"... Apparently won gold medal in "american cheeses" category. In a competition where almost all categories are AOPs... One of them is a country related.

Also i dont believe Americans dont have cheese. But some videos from your national news sometimes reach europe and we mock it. For example i remember seeing one to teach how to make cheese at home with only 6 ingredients... First ingredient: cheddar. Second ingredient water... Fifth and sixth ingredients: coloring and flavour enhancers.

I know they werent actually teaching how to make cheese but a sauce to be used as cheese topping. But the fact they pick one of the blandest cheeses, dilute it and then use artificial color and flavour enhancers... And still call it cheese. Sorry but ill keep considering AOPs cheeses to be the actual real cheeses.

Sorry, I should have been more specific:

A US Cheese won the 2019-2020 World Cheese Awards, and the 2016 World Championship Cheese Contest, while regularly having multiple finalist positions in both and only regularly falling behind Switzerland and France, and tying with the Netherlands.

The US regularly takes 1st place in various cheese categories in various global competitions, including:

Blue Cheese, Cheddar Cheese, American Cheese, Provolone Cheese, Mozzarella Cheese, Goat's Milk Cheese, Sheep's Milk Cheese, Flavored Cheeses, Feta, Brie, Havarti, Colby, etc.

So, generally speaking, the United States makes the 3rd or 4th overall best cheeses in the world, and the best Blue and Cheddar cheeses in the world.

But some videos from your national news sometimes reach europe and we mock it. For example i remember seeing one to teach how to make cheese at home with only 6 ingredients... First ingredient: cheddar. Second ingredient water... Fifth and sixth ingredients: coloring and flavour enhancers.

I have no idea what you're talking about.

That wouldn't air anywhere in the US as a "How to make cheese at home" guide, and it certainly wouldn't be "National News"

Americans are more than capable of distinguishing Cheese from a Cheese Sauce/Dip.

And a lot of the flak Americans get for what we supposedly call cheese is targeted at "Cheese Flavored Products" and the reason it became news is because Americans demanded they stopped being called cheese.

Europeans literally would not have heard about half this stuff if US Citizens didn't demand US Regulators to prevent US Producers from falsely labeling or mischaracterizing foods.

The reason you don't hear about this happening in European countries is because they created food regulations around food names and identification decades or centuries ago, before the US had the national framework required to make such regulations or sometimes before the US even existed.

Parmigiano Reggiano first became a protected category of cheese in 1612. Of course you aren't hearing many modern stories about this or that being called Parmigiano Reggiano in Europe, they took care of it before National News existed and only a short while after the first permanent European settlements in America were being created.

Well done on winning the best American cheese award, what an achievement.
