It’s a funny comment, but this is just how people are and how we have always been. It’s just now we get to see because people film everything.

Children, sure. But couldn't we agree that because of social media, viral videos, and "influencing," isn't it likely that adults are incentivized to do outrageous stuff on video for clout that they otherwise wouldn't have done?

Exactly. This getting posted here is evidence that not only pulling wild stunts but having them go wrong makes money. Social media is a blight on society.
