Forever Beta Feedback Dungeon XP Nerfs Created a Toxic Meta

Since dungeon monsters do not give any experience, as a new player, getting into dungeons with more veteran players who try to skip half the dungeon feels really bad. And, vice-versa, veterans taking in newbies who don't know how to jump around feels frustrating. I think Blizzard created a mess with nerfing dungeon exp so much and now the new player experience is horrible for dungeons.

Imagine being this naive lol

EDIT: basically he said that only try hard sweat lords are doing dungeons in beta right now and this won't be an issue on release

They are right. Took me a long time to just get into WC as a healer because so many people were worried I was going to roll on the fang gear.

In the beta…

No one is farming out that set on launch. They will obviously just keep leveling.

There will always be casuals who just play the game for fun. Not once have I had trouble finding those groups in Era and TBC.

Megaservers mean there are WAY more guilds and PUGs you can find that play to your style. Arguably one of the best changes they did tbh.

LFG already has a toggle where you can say 'new players welcome' which will likely be code word for "We're not turbo blasting, join if you want a chill run"

No one is "turbo blasting", mobs don't give xp

People are absolutely turboblasting with the 20 cap, you are skipping every optional pack that you can and just sprinting to every boss

Idk, from personal experience I always end up healing the guys that have never seen the dungeon before all the time.

Regardless the best rule to follow is: if you got randos don’t push for crazy skips.

Why risk getting titled at a rando when you could just kill more trash packs. Isn’t the whole point to blast monsters?

Isn’t the whole point to blast monsters?

I mean they literally removed the incentive for doing this. So, no?

The whole point is now to kill bosses and complete quests.

LMAO down voters have arrived, if you think it's so fun to kill mobs with no rewards why don't you go to a low level zone and kill grey mobs by yourself for an hour? Obviously you'd rather go kill level-appropriate mobs and get XP rewards right?

I heal mostly, but when I do dps I find that dps-ing stuff is the most engaging part. I press button, see number, monster die. I just enjoy playing and having an extra pack is whatever.

When healing I love extra packs because I get to heal more, which is why play the game.

If that's the case, I got lucky with all my groups, on 3 alts. I tanked and played dps, had people body pull, "inefficient" routes, people joked and guided the way. In my first RoL run we cleared almost the whole dungeon in search for the crest quest item. This is purely a Reddit issue.
