Everyone could tell it was an awful idea to split the fanbase. The original bandori was already relatively niche, and they went and made an even niche-r version. Insanity from Bushiroad.

They are probably expecting new wave of fans since the new game features the new generation bands still an awful idea of not improving the original game instead smh.

I'm not too sure if they're really slitting the fanbse though.

They purposely made it like a side game, since you're able to skip playing songs and you don't have to tier in the game. The upkeep is pretty easy.

Eh, if they dumped the new bands to the old game, people will just complain "its too hard to catch up to years of story" or "it doesnt feel like pjsk, i dont like it"

couldn't crack Top 50 and only made 200k more than the OG game, which for a new release and with the newest bands is crazy. lmao

But it's also a really bad release, insane amount of bugs, so I am not sure. The new controversy of no event point ranking has also garnered them a lot of negativity so we'll have to see how the October revenue ends up.
