Anniversary buff with a double banner for Genshin, it did pretty well all things considered. Neither Vesna nor Vodyanitsa are what you might call particularly Hyped units, but they both god enough involvement in the story and have solid places in the current meta with Stellar Swirl and Freeze teams respectively. There's probably gonna be a steep drop around 7.2 but for everyone who's decided to roll for Fish and Fairy, there's someone else who decided to save their Primos for the next characters.
Mitya has also been pretty popular with the fanbase, so we can already tell he's gonna stabilize user spending until the following patch, when the Tsaritsa should probably be getting released, as the case tends to be.
All in all, Genshin has been keeping a pretty good pace since Nod-Krai ended and I wounder what the average month spending will look like once we get to the end of Snezhnaya.
Despite how much Twitter and Reddit hate on it, I definitely think Miliastra was a good call for Hoyo with how stable the revenue has been since it released. The game has only dipped below $40m twice in the last 12 months.
Majority of the complaints just seem to come from people who want Hoyo to cater to their wants. Or schedule the game around their personal circumstances. Or both.
I just hope they don't bend over to the Devs Listened meme and just do their thing backed up by surveys and internal gathered data.
My problem with Miliastra is more about it's implementation than its content. I still believe it would have been better if they had integrated it more with the teapot system that already created spaces.
Also should have pushed the mannequin more as a customizable character people could use as an OC with like in-game craftable clothes and weapon choice. (And like have made the mannequin a better character as well tbh, because they just really suck so badly.)
But Genshin's unused potential is just fluff in the end. The game is good for what it is, and wanting it to be better is just the result of an overactive imagination.
