[Finger] Victor Wembanyama about considering promoting a sports betting company ; "Absolutely not. I will never do that. Honestly, I think it's very sad to see some players promote it..."

Just asked Victor Wembanyama if he’d ever consider promoting a sports betting company.

“Absolutely not. I will never do that. Honestly, I think it's very sad to see some players promote it. .. Everybody does whatever they want, but without me.”

Absolute W, french athletes just come across so educated and aware in comparison to everyone else, it's very impressive

edit: guys I didn't mean to single out americans as dumb or say all french athletes are educated, I'm brazilian so I have experience with national athletes being dumb and I was thinking of athletes like Wemby or Mbappe even if guys like Rudy exist

Eh, definitely not Rudy Gobert mocking Coronavirus by touching all the mics during a press conference

I don't really like Rudy all that much, but I'd be lying if I said I took Covid as seriously as it was before/right as it arrived in the US.

It's just plainly hilarious that he made the joke and was immediately discovered to be Covid positive, otherwise that gesture would be a relatively little remembered thing by 2026.

Still differently than actively taking money to promote a predatory, addictive industry that ruins the lives of people and that of their families.

He was ahead of his time with that joke fa sho.

Oh please... No one in the United States was taking covid seriously at that point and the league was going to shutdown anyway.

If Rudy is to blame and everyone is thought covid was so bad at that point why was the nba even having games that night?

Gobert literally tweeted that his “pronouns are prosecute/fauci”.

Its not universal its just that off the court Wemby seems like a very moral dude. He’s also one of the few to actually point out that Karl Malone should be behind fucking bars

Lmao the biggest French stars before Wemby were Parker and Gobert and they don’t fit that description at all.

Americans come across uneducated and unaware compared to the rest of the world.

Its not just americans.

Jack Grealish couldnt point out England on a map of england when he was shown one.

Athletes are dumb everywhere so we should appreciate wemby

Yeah, Giannis isn't American and he had his Kalshi deal before bron had his Polymarket one.

That’s because we are. We’ve been steadily declining in education rankings for decades now. Our focus as a country shifted away from prioritizing the future and it’s why most innovation even domestically is foreign. We’re falling well behind in producing highly skilled workers in essential industries.

I mean, the problem here is that America just churns out an insane number of athletes, but many of them are actually good people who are mindful of how they do business.

im not even sure how nationality is relevant in this discussion. Giannis shills for Kalshi non-stop.

Americans are dumb though.. Speaking as one born and raised in Florida (😬)

I agree, Americans are stupid as fuck

But Rudy matriculated before France hit this cross-sport golden generation. There is something to these French athletes under 30.

Or Tony Parker not knowing the hand/arm gesture was a offensive salute years ago…

He definitely does seem very mature for his age, impressive overall. Americans certainly have a big segment of seemingly uneducated / uninformed people which became even more evident the past decade. I'm in the US and its evident everyday. I'm sure every region has its varieties, but those being defensive here are hilarious. Its very obvious things have gone downhill in the US lol.

This just tastes better to you coming from a Frenchman. Jaylen Brown does the same shit and folks cry like babies.

Watch some idiot try to bring up Rudy Gobert, even though you're right.
