Just asked Victor Wembanyama if he’d ever consider promoting a sports betting company.

“Absolutely not. I will never do that. Honestly, I think it's very sad to see some players promote it. .. Everybody does whatever they want, but without me.”

Absolute W, french athletes just come across so educated and aware in comparison to everyone else, it's very impressive

edit: guys I didn't mean to single out americans as dumb or say all french athletes are educated, I'm brazilian so I have experience with national athletes being dumb and I was thinking of athletes like Wemby or Mbappe even if guys like Rudy exist

Eh, definitely not Rudy Gobert mocking Coronavirus by touching all the mics during a press conference

I don't really like Rudy all that much, but I'd be lying if I said I took Covid as seriously as it was before/right as it arrived in the US.

It's just plainly hilarious that he made the joke and was immediately discovered to be Covid positive, otherwise that gesture would be a relatively little remembered thing by 2026.

Still differently than actively taking money to promote a predatory, addictive industry that ruins the lives of people and that of their families.

Oh please... No one in the United States was taking covid seriously at that point and the league was going to shutdown anyway.

If Rudy is to blame and everyone is thought covid was so bad at that point why was the nba even having games that night?
