Testing the limits of incompetence.

We haven't found any yet.

Maybe now is the time for you guys to use your famous right to bear arms?

We're a bit fed up at this point and you're inspiring cunts all around the world, telling them it's OK to be a fascist and that you can be elected anyway.

Honestly, I think the bigger problem is that the fascist counts 🧛🏻 keep getting elected everywhere in the world, that's not an US problem really.

Oh that I'm absolutely right with you! But to me, they're all galvanised by each other, seeing that they succeed in a lot of places..

It's very easy for a foreigner to tell an American to grab a gun and do a political assassination, but if you say that kind of thing from America, people show up at your door.

Yeah I'm just litteraly saying that because it's the point of that right !

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Also, that right is supposed to be used againt enemies, both from the outside AND the inside.

Just saying, not telling you I understand your country more than you.

once they moved to tanks from muskets it was no longer honestly viable.

Having a gun will not protect you from systemic violence. I'm sorry. The only case where any of that matters is if a community decides to band together, and there's no incentive for anyone to do that until the government has already fallen, because reasons.

Don't spout our ideologies at me. We live in the real world, a world where there are vast power differentials. Just because the right to own a gun is enshrined in the Constitution doesn't mean that owning a gun actually gives you any real power.

EDIT: Prior to the refactoring of society into large cities with logistics chain nightmares requiring diesel to push food from rural areas into urban areas, the USA was designed to be an unconquerable land. The 2nd Amendment is to fight off foreign invaders more than our own government, but our own government used to be a much more fragile thing that we were willing to let die and resurrect over and over. We were given the post WW2 era world order because we were most resilient against the forces of empire, but even we've failed. It's why people are losing faith in any system of human self-governance right now.

I truly appreciate the detailed answer, i'll look a bit more into that's interesting.

And glad you decided to educate me instead of attack me, kind of you!

3

u/PlainBread 10h ago

Why would I attack you? I'm not a bot.

People tend to take any form of debate personally on social medias.

I admit it's almost making me happy to have a civil discussion for once.

I'll look a bit more into all of what you said it's really interesting, I knew about waco but never really made a connection with it..

Thanks again

Those people are bots. Even if they're human beings, they are likely getting their opinions from and trying to get the approval of bots. A human being who doesn't care to fact check things is a bot.

I don't think there's anything wrong with making an observation about how other people have dehumanized themselves. I'm not dehumanizing them.

There's always this "historically this or this country has been able to fight off..."

The French didn't fight off or guillotine military drones.

u/anewconvert 2h ago

If you want to be historically accurate it was because Southern states were afraid of slave rebellions so wanted to be able to arm “militias” which were roving bands of armed men going about “preventing” uprisings

Thanks for this

Wow, look a moron trying to incite violence and a civil war in the worlds largest democracy (which it I still is)… I wonder why, hmm. Fuck off.

Absolutely not, it's just based on what, in my opinion (but largely more complex than that, thanks to someone highlighting it a bit for me) the way the second amendment is and what it was made for.

I can see you were raised by animals so I won't engage more with you.

You take care!
