Yeah; massive 4th Amendment violation. There really needs to be some sort of significant punishment for a government representative knowingly and voluntarily violating civil rights. Like 30 years in prison. The government isn't a discontiguous monarchy and we're not its subjects.
Don't you know it's only a 4th amendment violation if the government operates the cameras themselves? It's perfectly fine for them to purchase the exact same information from private companies.
That’s the argument, yes. But philosophically (as in Constitutional Philosophy) the violation occurred on the act of inferring association regardless of method of acquisition
