I’m having a strange display issue on my gaming laptop with an RTX 5060. The problem happens specifically when the laptop is running on battery and set to NVIDIA GPU-only/dGPU-only mode. When I open certain applications, the screen goes completely black or occasionally completely red most of the time. When the laptop is plugged in, the issue doesn’t seem to occur, and it also seems to be absent or much less likely when using Hybrid/Auto/Optimus mode. I also sometimes experience large FPS fluctuations while gaming, around 50 FPS or more, although I’m not sure if that is related. Has anyone experienced something similar with NVIDIA-only mode specifically on battery, and does this sound more like a driver/BIOS/power-management issue or a hardware problem?

After months of gathering the parts, and a week of troubleshooting what turned out to be a dead CPU… I’ve finally built a PC around the Wild Cherry Hyte X50.
Specs:
PowerColor Red Devil 9070 XT
Ryzen 5 7500x3D
Sapphire Nitro+ B850A
32GB Lexar Thor Z 6000 MHz
MSI Spatium M460 1TB
Be Quiet Pure Power 13 M 850W
1st Player TS4 360 AIO
7x Hyte FA12 Wild Cherry
1x Lucky Cat 👍
I’m very happy with how it’s turned out! Though I might disable the screen on the AIO once I have played about with some settings.

Hey, so im currently thinking of buying a new mouse and the two which im eyeing at th moment are either the superstrike x3 from logitech or the Wlmouse Beast X Max in either red and black or purple. I have the budget for all of these (however if you know a site for the UK which has lower prices that would be welcome :))) ) and I was just wondering which of the three would be the best to get. Im currently using a hitscan hyoerlight mouse and use a relaxed fingertip/claw grip (i think). The reason im hesitaying between the superstrike and WLmouse is because of the haptics and popularity for the logitech mice. Im really curious to see if it is really that good however am wondering if the shape size and weight would be right for me and worth the haptics. I know an absolute TON of pro players in many different games use logitech mice and therefore and wondering if the weight and shape difference is really something to worry about. If the superstrike haptics and shape arent that worth it, should I just go with the WLmouse?

I built this PC myself about 2 and a half years ago and I’ve had almost no issues with it. Yesterday it was working fine and today it won’t turn on, but the motherboard and AIO screen have power. Any advice is appreciated 🙏

I’m genuinely frustrated with ASUS at this point.
I sent my ROG 20th Anniversary limited-edition monitor in for service at the end of August. By mid-September, ASUS had inspected it, and I asked them a simple question:
What actually failed?
I still haven’t received an answer.
After the repair dragged on, ASUS Proactive Care acknowledged the excessive turnaround time and offered me a replacement.
They then told me in writing:
“We are pleased to advise that the replacement unit can be shipped on Wednesday via FedEx Expedited Shipping to ensure prompt delivery.”
That Wednesday was September 30.
Today is October 1, and my RMA status still says ASUS is searching for the same product for replacement.
No tracking number. No shipment confirmation.
So I’m trying to understand why I was given a specific shipping date if the replacement apparently hadn’t even been secured yet.
This is what bothers me more than a simple one-day delay.
I’ve already been without the monitor for more than a month, ASUS still hasn’t explained the diagnostic findings, and now a replacement date they specifically gave me has also passed.
I’ve spent close to $30,000 on ASUS/ROG products over the years, so this is especially disappointing. I’m not saying that should give me special warranty treatment, but I do expect better communication and follow-through from a brand I’ve supported for this long.
This also isn’t my first bad ASUS support experience. In a previous case, the eventual goodwill gesture was a cheap headset stand that had essentially no value to me.
At this point, I’m asking ASUS for four things:
* Ship the replacement with the expedited service already promised.
* Provide the inspection/diagnostic findings for the original unit.
* Explain why September 30 was given as a shipping date when the replacement apparently wasn’t ready.
* Offer meaningful goodwill compensation for the overall handling of the case.
I’m open to a reasonable resolution. I just don’t think another apology email or low-value promotional accessory meaningfully addresses what has happened here.
I’ll update this post when ASUS responds.

Hi guys, so recently I have come to the conclusion I would like to do a fresh Windows install and completely wipe everything,
Ive tried to wipe a couple times now but it says I haven't got enough storage in my C drive,
Then I go to check my C drive(it's only 256gb) and it turns out I have 100gbs worth of apps which are not there.... I've looked into everything I can. And now I'm trying to download windows to an external drive but would this fix the issue of not having enough storage for a wipe?

It's not extreme, but noticeable to me. I got a 280hz OLED monitor that's Gsync compatible. And a RTX 2080ti.
Gsync is enabled in nvidia control panel for windowed and fullscreen. Set to 280hz. Vsync is disabled globally.
FPS locked at 279 fps.
Right now I'm noticing it in Hollow Knight Silksong, but it's happening in other games too.
VRR enabled in monitor settings.

My monitor has been showing these purple-ish pixels, I have tested on other devices it’s the monitor for sure.
Wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue as well and if they were able to fix it without buying another one

I am targeting a preferred budget of $1,300 USD (stretching up to $1,500 USD if needed without relying on a Micro Center trip) aimed at 1440p resolution gaming and streaming to achieve ~100 FPS while live streaming, ~120 FPS during standard gaming, and leaving room for a dedicated 1440p high-refresh monitor.

I'm on a tight budget. Would an AMD Ryzen 5 5600 or 5600X be enough for light/medium gaming? Is it worth buying?
