News/Article This could legitimately end Stop Killing Games.
Accursed Farms has come out with a new video outlining the recently leaked and incredibly heavy handed EU Kids Act.
The Act directly makes private servers illegal, age and ID verification required for all video game purchases, alongside massive cost increase for all videogames. Additionally according to Accursed Farms these restrictions would go into effect retroactively as well.

Story Got this for 100 bucks
Went to a Pawn shop saw a Cyber Power pc for 100 Dollar I couldn’t believe it. Stricker Right On the Front Said it Broken. I took a Gamble and I’m glad I did, it’s a i5 12th gen 12600kf with a rtx 3060 ti with water cooling, I figure that the PSU was faulty tested it on a different Board and that board came on so the PSU was alright. So this made me laugh because I notice the Power button didn’t push all the way down so I pulled the board for the power button and and pressed the Tiny switch And BOOM damn there free pc With two Stick of DDR4. I was jump up and down like a goof ball I was so Happy Have no clue on it face value Before the make down they where selling it for $630 can’t wait to move all my games on to it and download Bazzite on it.

Hardware Lifetime RAM warranty
Bought a Corsair 32GB ddr5 6400 CL32 kit from Taobao (Chinese website) about 1 year ago before ram prices went to the shits. One stick broke last month so I sent it back to china under lifetime warranty. Was a bit worried that they wouldn’t honor it but here it is. I bought the kit for $140 and it now goes for about $400-500. Moral of the story buy from China.

Discussion ASUS promised to ship my $1,300 ROG 20th Anniversary monitor replacement yesterday. Today they’re still “searching for the same product.” After 1+ month of RMA, they still won’t even tell me why it failed.
I’m genuinely frustrated with ASUS at this point.
I sent my ROG 20th Anniversary limited-edition monitor in for service at the end of August. By mid-September, ASUS had inspected it, and I asked them a simple question:
What actually failed?
I still haven’t received an answer.
After the repair dragged on, ASUS Proactive Care acknowledged the excessive turnaround time and offered me a replacement.
They then told me in writing:
“We are pleased to advise that the replacement unit can be shipped on Wednesday via FedEx Expedited Shipping to ensure prompt delivery.”
That Wednesday was September 30.
Today is October 1, and my RMA status still says ASUS is searching for the same product for replacement.
No tracking number. No shipment confirmation.
So I’m trying to understand why I was given a specific shipping date if the replacement apparently hadn’t even been secured yet.
This is what bothers me more than a simple one-day delay.
I’ve already been without the monitor for more than a month, ASUS still hasn’t explained the diagnostic findings, and now a replacement date they specifically gave me has also passed.
I’ve spent close to $30,000 on ASUS/ROG products over the years, so this is especially disappointing. I’m not saying that should give me special warranty treatment, but I do expect better communication and follow-through from a brand I’ve supported for this long.
This also isn’t my first bad ASUS support experience. In a previous case, the eventual goodwill gesture was a cheap headset stand that had essentially no value to me.
At this point, I’m asking ASUS for four things:
* Ship the replacement with the expedited service already promised.
* Provide the inspection/diagnostic findings for the original unit.
* Explain why September 30 was given as a shipping date when the replacement apparently wasn’t ready.
* Offer meaningful goodwill compensation for the overall handling of the case.
I’m open to a reasonable resolution. I just don’t think another apology email or low-value promotional accessory meaningfully addresses what has happened here.
I’ll update this post when ASUS responds.

Question I still didn't understand what's the point of having 6x frame generation on rtx 5050 and 5060?
What's the point of having a 6x frame generation? Whenever I tried to use it on any game all i get is just input delay. Am I doing something wrong? Please let me know if there is something that I should know before using it.
Ps: also I always keep my games locked at 60 fps just for a smooth gameplay. So that I don't get to deal with any kind of shuttering and stuff.

Tech Support It's my GPU dying, right? GTX 1080
No, I do not have the funds to "just replace it". If there's any way to make her cling to life a little longer I'd absolutely try for it. I am in need of this PC right now and I cant just buy new parts.

News/Article Steam also plans to personalize the Discounts/Deals section. Starting in 2027, each user will have their own personalized Discounts section based on their preferences.
In early 2027 we are planning changes to how some promotions work on Steam as we look to move away from a manual calendar-based approach and into something more dynamic and personalized for each customer.
Currently, the Discounts & Events section on Steam is made up of curated placements that are either scheduled directly by partners via Steamworks, or by us here on the Steam team.
By moving away from that approach, more discounted games or sale events will have the chance to be visible on the homepage and elsewhere on Steam, rather than be limited by a small, fixed number of slots.
I love this changes tbh. Tim Bender, CEO of Hooded Horse wrote this about the changes.
I'm sure the immediate reaction from many developers and publishers will be to worry that they can no longer book a set front page spot. But taking a step back, it's clear what is gained is far, far more valuable. Instead of a single time of the year where a game is shown on the front page, now games will be eligible to be displayed constantly throughout the year. And instead of that visibility being relatively ill-tuned -- showing a fixed few games all day to everyone on Steam, including people on repeated page loads who tire of seeing those games, and people who would never play those particular genres -- now games will be shown at sensible frequencies to people who are actually potential buyers of the game in question.
It's like if a cozy game and an FPS, each with a daily deal, got together and made a trade, where the cozy game gave its visibility among shooter fans to the FPS, and the FPS gave its visibility among cozy fans to the cozy game. Everyone would end up better off, players and devs alike. Then repeat that trade across tens of thousands of games until every player is seeing the right games for them.
We know that Steam's algorithms for this work great. A couple weeks ago I posted about the algorithmic spots in the Discounts & Events section becoming more deeply personalized, and the huge gains in indie game visibility. Converting the manually curated spots -- the highest-visibility spots in that section -- into algorithmic spots is going to make that already dramatic improvement for indie game discovery several times larger.
So don't mourn the loss of weekend/midweek/daily deals. This is a wonderful trade and a big win for both players and developers.

Build/Battlestation My O11 Vision-M budget build — 7800X3D + RX 9060 XT
Put together something a little more budget-focused this time around. Most of the PCs I build end up being pretty overkill, especially once custom water cooling gets involved, so I wanted to keep this one much simpler.
I built it around the O11 Vision-M with a 7800X3D and RX 9060 XT. Since it’s an mATX build, everything sits pretty compact inside the case, but there’s still enough room that the build process wasn’t annoying.
Cooling is pretty straightforward too. I went with the Galahad II Lite AIO and SL FLEX fans instead of doing a full loop. Honestly, not having to plan tubing runs, fittings, pumps, reservoirs, and all the other stuff that normally goes into my builds was kind of refreshing 😂
Cable management was probably the part I spent the most time on. With this much glass, there really isn’t anywhere for messy cables to hide, so I tried to keep everything as clean as possible and let the hardware be the focus.
The 1000W Seasonic is obviously more PSU than a 7800X3D + 9060 XT needs, but I already wanted some headroom for eventually dropping a much more powerful GPU into it without having to redo the PSU and cabling.
Specs:
• Ryzen 7 7800X3D
• Gigabyte B850M Gaming WiFi
• Gigabyte RX 9060 XT
• Seasonic GX 1000W
• T-Force G70 Pro 1TB
• LIAN LI Galahad II Lite AIO
• LIAN LI UNI FAN SL FLEX
• LIAN LI O11 Vision-M
Overall, pretty happy with how it turned out. Definitely a different direction from the ridiculous builds I normally do.
What would you guys have done differently?
Disclosure: LIAN LI provided the case, fans and AIO for this build.

Tech Support Ram help
Hey guys, I could really use some help with a RAM issue.
I'm trying to use DDR4 SO-DIMM RAM in my PC, but it refuses to POST properly. After a few failed attempts, it eventually enters Safe Mode.
Interestingly, the system boots without any issues when I install additional 2133 MHz RAM sticks alongside the SO-DIMM modules using SO-DIMM-to-DIMM adapters.
Does anyone know what might be causing this or how I could get the SO-DIMM RAM to work on its own?
